Bit of a weird draft to be honest didn't expect so many D gone already.
One more than most predicted.

Do we honestly need more forwards in the freaking system... Golly
Better than over drafting a Dman.

I'd love to see us trade this pick for a proven guy to be honest.
Ideally yes. Instead I think/want to draft Perreault.

Not at all. But if it did these execs need to hustle off stage a bit faster or this is going to go all night.
Agreed I hate the tradition of thanking the home city etc. It just a waste of time.

Nothing like starting a draft and the booing of Bettman.

Those are wildly different values.
13
13 and VO
13 and Savoie
That's my point. I have no issues #13 moved for a proven Dman. I like VO but would package him for a bonafide starting goalie that could start 50 games for us next year as we develop Levi. To me Savoie untouchable.
22 minutes ago, Curt said:I doubt SJ would want Pesce as part of the trade. They are young to want picks and young guys.
They might take Pesce and then move him in a separate move.

Would you move Pick #13 for Brett Pesce?
Just pick #13? Yes, if #13 and VO or Savoie. No.

There is a part of me afraid that the downfall of KA is going to be his risk aversion/unwillingness to make significant moves. If we fail to reach the playoff this coming season his vibes are going to go to ***** real bad.
He's more gun shy than Reiger.

If your UPL, what are your thoughts on bringing Levi into the goaltending mix?
Play as best as you can in hopes to be traded to another team or leave via UFA like Ullmark did. I like UPL yet he's inconsistent to say the least. I'd definitely look for a better option in UFA.

If we do ship out VO then I'd think Peterka or Quinn could find more PP time. I think Peterka's a more complete player so voted for him yet Quinn definitively has the offensive upside too.

Turgeon and Housley being in the HHoF ahead of Mogilny just baffles me.
Housley was one of best offensive defenseman ever and played earlier than Mogilny so disagree on that one.

It’s debatable that Bure and Federov were better. Did you ever watch Mogilny at his peak? He was unstoppable. I even think Federov said Mogilny was better in an interview.
Mike Vernon? Tom Barrasso? They should not be in over Mogilny. Thought Turgeon might be blackballed over “ Punch Up” fiasco.
I'm 46, so yes I saw Mogilny at his best. I still remember the 76 goal season and how excited it was getting his autograph that same year.

Mogilny left out again. Why is he not considered worthy?
Probably because Fedorov and Bure were better. I personally think Mogilny should be in because he opened things up for others to leave Russia, was above average etc. but who knows maybe some in the committee have ill feelings towards him *shrugs*
