  1. Their highest point total in the last 8 years is 81. Second highest is 78. Both under Disco Dan. 81 points in Eichel's rookie season, with a lineup that featured the likes of Cody Franson, Delauriers, Legwand, Gorges, Colaiaccovo, and Chad Johnson in net. It's not a popular opionion but firing him was a huge mistake. They regressed by 3 points in his second season. He was without Eichel for 3 months, drops 3 points in the standings, and he gets the boot for Phil Housley. Phil. HOUSLEY. A guy with zero pro head coaching experience... but hey Eichel didn't like Disco Dan right? Eichel was what 20 years old at the time? Smh. Atleast Eichel really likes RK. Good. Great. They continue to suck but hey the players love the coach! Is there a banner for that?
  2. I would probably boycott everything NHL if that happened.
  3. One of my earliest memories is standing next to my Dad (up to his thigh anyway) in the original Aud Club at the bar, probably around 1977-78. Him and his buddies sharing laughs drinking beers, and myself with a root beer taking it all in... the shiny stainless steel bar (iirc?), cigarette smoke, people talking laughing... it was loud. it was also warm and comforting after almost catching frostbite running into the arena after parking what seemed like several miles away underneath the skyway in blizzard like conditions. That said I was too young to remember how good the team or franchise was back then, but I do know they were very successful and the talk of the town at that time.
  4. I can't see how they play Friday, it's 4 days away and they just added another to the list today. What I don't understand is if everybody has been quarantining since the shutdown 8 days ago and tested daily, how did Dahlin suddenly test positive (assuming he did) today, 8 days later? Either they didn't actually quarantine, or haven't been tested daily. The fact that either of those could be true is blowing my mind rn. The only reasonable way to play again is if they go 4 or 5 days without a new positive test and get enough guys back off the list. That could be easily be another week at this rate.
  5. best franchise moment, Pegula best fan moment, May Day best team moment, ottawa game 5 W
  6. condensed schedule fun for the fans guys like staal and okposo won't hold up tho we'll see more Hutton heavy taxi squad rotation
  7. If the vaccine supply is no longer a bottleneck, why not just vaccinate everyone en masse? There's people in the first group who don't want the vaccine, at what point and who makes the decision to move on to the next group? The only reason there's a triage is because of limited vaccine supply, but it sounds like that won't be an issue here maybe relatively soon with the J&J vaccine hitting the market.

  9. Just the fact we're even discussing regulation wins and deluca .500 is a tell tale sign that they stink.
  10. Obviously the at risk groups should get it first, and they are. However, it will be interesting to see where pro-atheletes land in the pecking order. Same with entertainers, musicians, college athletics, etc... Arguments can be made for anybody really.
  11. With 4 teams on suspension, were getting close to shut the whole damn thing down territory. 17 players now on the Devils, don't see how they return to play in 6 days... Sabres list will likely grow as well.
  12. TRpm for the smart folk 😀
  13. award the points to the Sabres, give them double the lottery balls, and NJDs 1st rnd pick this year, and a free spot in the playoffs as a wildcard
  14. They should sue the league for not postponing the Devils games when they knew they had positive cases. It's ridiculous to put Sabres players and staff at risk... and for what? What a joke of a league, sad.
  15. Game is postponed to tomorrow due to covid concerns.
  16. Ullmark gets the shutout, but falls 1-0 in thr shootout.
  17. Panic? No. Annoyed because we've been watching the same ***** hockey for 10 straight years? Yes.
  18. I noticed after the next whistle MIller skated over to the scores box and they gave him a puck which I was assuming was his goal puck.
  19. They haven't had a real coach since Bylsma. Yeah I know, everybody thinks he sucked. We'll, he got a post-tank dumpster squad in Jack's rookie season to 81 points, then Jack gets hurt , they finish the next season with 78 points and he gets run out of town because a 20 year old Eichel doesn't see eye to eye with him. Since then it's been Phil Housley with 0 years of pro head coaching experience, and now a soccer team manager, with a whopping 48 games of nhl coaching experience 6 years ago. But hey, all the players REALLY like the guy. Maybe they can hang a banner "2020-21 Most Liked Coach"
  20. Skinner scored 40 because he was cleaning everything up around the net from Jack. Sure they had a bit of a dry spell for a stretch there, but there was instant chemistry from the get go. He's not a shooter, he doesn't generate much on his own, he's very one dimensional but that one dimension is burying everything around the net. Pair him with a guy like Jack who drives offensive / creates chances, and you give yourself the best chance to max out the $9m/yr you're giving him. Why is this so hard?
  21. Running it from behind the net where you can't score from is even dumber. It's like killing a penalty in the neutral zone.
