  1. I don't see anyone swallowing that contract. If there is any chance a trade is going to happen, it better happen soon.
  2. Careful, I suggested that several games ago and was castigated for it. FWIW, I say yes.
  3. Scott is a dangerous man. He was only throwing jabs, not a single time did he wind up or drop a haymaker. Thornton is out for a while as a result of a concussion from that fight. I hate to see any player be injured like this, as we are seeing the lifelong consequences of brain injuries with athletes. The league will take notice that you can't push around the Sabres without consequences, Scott's presence will make life easier for Gerbe, Ennis and even Kaleta (more pest, less enforcer). While he's not the greatest hockey player, the 4th line has had their moments when they were the best shift on ice for a couple of periods.
  4. Just not a good team. TPegs better get on top of this soon. Can't afford another crap season then a rebuilding mode. Use what's left of this season to clean house and create some hope going into next year. Philly game was a matter of blown calls by refs, not the beginning of a new tougher Sabres team.
  5. I can't get Gamecenter to load on iPad, only 30 seconds until it freezes on Xbox, having to use free Center Ice preview on cable. Not sure what is up with Gamecenter but too many problems already this year, going to try and get a refund.
  6. Said it before and will say it again ... if the belief is that Regier has loaded this team with the necessary talent (thus the contract extension), then Lindy needs to go for achieving bottom of the barrel results from top tier talent. I don't understand standing pat when these guys have been so undisciplined and played so uninspired. It's a short season and the Sabres will find themselves chasing 8 again (if they are lucky).
  7. Send Grigs down, not an answer to this year's team, save the year on his contract.
  8. Can't win a draw, can't count to get 6 guys on the ice for an offensive zone faceoff, just absolutely pathetic.
  9. If TPegs honestly believes Regier has brought in quality talent, then it would seem he has to let go of Ruff for egregious mismanagement.
  10. Washington broadcasters remembering the talent we once had -- Gaustad, Roy and Connolly. Shows how low this team has gotten.
  11. If you think Miller is anywhere near being a problem with this team, then I can only surmise he slept with your wife or Enroth is family.
  12. Even Pommers is looking like a hack out there today, just flailing away
  13. These guys don't even play hard enough to draw a penalty
  14. . It was tipped 2ft from the goal, not fair to call out Miller, he's been the only consistent player other than Vanek
  15. Instead of blowing coverage, CoHo decides to just score it for them this time
  16. Total BS effort from these guys. Another wasted night watching guys who seem to prefer the lockout days (with the exception of Miller who was the only sign of intelligent life tonight). Time to shake things up. 4 games and only three guys can score. Kaleta is getting better chances than anyone on the 2nd and 3rd lines. Ridiculous.
  17. CoHo had a ridiculously bad game tonight. I don't care how many goals he scores if he is going to give the other team the game through blown defensive assignments and turnovers. Myers may be earning himself one of the Sabres buyouts.
  18. I like the idea of awarding the Stanley Cup to a minor league team if this doesn't get resolved. I would love it if the Hockey Hall of Fame announced that they would refuse to induct anyone currently associated with the NHL, and would completely prevent/exponge any mention of players/owners who were around for both lost seasons, if there isn't a season this year. Time for external forces to ratchet up the heat on these prima donnas.
  19. Because he is a PhD and he knows he is smarter than you.
  20. Example A: England Example B: Canada Our existing health system excels at speed of treatment. When my wife was diagnosed with cancer, the doctor said she could start chemotherapy immediately -- during that visit. Friends of mine in Canada and England have been forced to wait weeks/months for similar treatment. When you increase the number of people having broad access to health care providers, the demand significantly exceeds supply. When you force health care providers to take significantly reduced fees for services, you reduce quality of services and number of providers willing to stay in the profession. It's a mess. So, it's not all pie in the sky the way the lefty Obama defending members of this board would have you believe. Bottom line, when someone's life is on the line, they come to America for treatment if they can afford it.
  21. Whereas the government is the very epitome of generosity (with other people's money) and self control...
  22. Ahhh... it was a good exercise, you're starting to think like a free market capitalist :-). If gas is "cheap" then why are all the Dems so mad at the profits gas companies are making? And at the same time completely silent about the profits (taxes) the government makes from gas?
