It's getting better. No denying. Yet if Cromrie or UPL were playing last night, we'd probably be singing a different tune. There was plenty of good luck in the first period with Florida missing a dunk shot and 2 posts. Then Anderson played out of his mind the last 2 periods. Lots of giveaways and poor D play at times. Cromrie and UPL cannot overcome that most nights. Who's in net Sunday afternoon ? Can they not tighten up at home for once ?

After getting some breaks in the 1st, Anderson was huge in the 2nd. Just robbed them a few times and kept smothering the puck to kill pressure. Poise.

He's 6-3 230 and purposely hit our team Captain...who happens to have a major past with head shots. No real grey area with intent. That was an ill advised messge directed at the entire team.

I'll take it. The same problems almost cost them. Defense and giveaways. I get TB does have twice the talent. It's not going to change until the next pre-season camp with a few new faces and maybe an asst. coach who can help Granato establish a mindset of getting back on D and not panicking in their own end. It's still so refreshing to see players that can actually score. It seems like yesterday that it was a minor miracle the Sabres could score 2 goals in a game and have one player that recorded 20 goals on the season. Still a ways to go.

Didn't Adams inherit a mess of a team with an 18 game losing streak ? Yeah, now go turn that around fast and make it snappy. I decree it.

Bullseye. Of course there is more to do. Before they went on the late season hot streak last March, they were 35 points or more out of a playoff spot and looked like the worst team in hockey. It seemed like yesterday they were lucky to score 2 goals in a game. To me , it looked like a multi year, blow it up complete rebuild with core players to keep being counted on one hand. Impossible to watch any game without disgust. Positive steps are evident. A very important one is they can now score. That's important, last I checked. Now work on the D play and goaltending. We all get that and I'm sure KA sees that also. Had to allow some players to show something before making decisions going forward. They had to rally just to reach 75 points last year. I certainly didn't expect 95-100 points with this roster. Who did ??? Insanity. Hypercriticism.

I've watched BTN games ,with Michigan and Minny on all the time the last several years. Johnson shouldn't cost much to start and compete. God knows we need 2-3 more guys who can play better D. Has speed, I'll say that. I thought he may be taking a pass on the Sabres to be honest. He has to know a spot is open for him now.

We speculate. The team can finally score after years of seeing a 2 goal game as an outburst. I was surprised they are scoring so many goals on average. That they have zero idea how to play D is shocking.
