I've said before that Murray probably can buy himself several years as the Sabres GM just off of the EIchel and Reinhart picks. IMO he just burned a lot of that goodwill. Lehner for #21 is bad. Taking on Legwand? WTF? If it was Lehner and a good prospect from Ottawa for #21...maybe. This is what all of Murray's knowledge of Ottawa's inner-workings got us? Out of the goalies available via trade(Talbot, Anderson, Lack) and a number on the FA market, this is what TM does. This is awful. I questioned his overpayments on the KIngs and Jets trades, this just confirms my suspicions. He is in over his head.

My head may explode. Legwand is a cap dump at this point in his career, and a #1 for a concussed Lehner who really hasn't shown anything in the last couple years would be ridiculous overpayment.
