  1. On a somewhat related note, Doug Jemal has done more for Buffalo development, than the Pegula’s ever will. The guy is really underrated.
  2. Even a blind squirrel eventually... Nevermind.
  3. Maybe I’m just blocking out how pitiful he was last year. 😂
  4. I am too, but Eakin is not in the top 10 problems with this team right now.
  5. Who cares. He is no longer a Sabres and during his time here the team was terrible. Here’s hoping Florida misses the playoffs.
  6. You mean since the start of the off-season or right now? Regardless...if his plan is the current group for 21-22, he gets an “F” grade, for the 2nd straight offseason....in terms of addressing the goalie position.
  7. How will the optimists feel if the season starts with the current pile of crap in the crease masquerading as NHL goaltenders? Will you still have confidence in KA?
  8. It was a dumb thing to say by KA. There is no way you can ice a lineup of inexperience every game. They will get caved in on most nights, and IMO that is not a positive in terms of player development.
  9. Maybe your opinion, but certainly no guarantee.
  10. I agree, and mentioned this in the goalie thread(or somewhere else), and will stand firm. If the season opens, with any combo of the 5 goalies currently under contract on the big boy roster, it’s a tank, and I think it will be a big mistake.
  11. Yes to all the above.
  12. Is this Terry, Kim, or one of the bad baseball cap designers?
  13. No one has to worry about seeing Jack at training camp. He is either going to be traded by then, or injured and still fighting with the organization over surgery options. To quote Dean Wormer...there will be “0.0” chance he will be on the ice.
  14. Before training camp begins, Jack needs to be traded, have the surgery the Sabres prefer, or convince them to let him have the surgery option he prefers. This mexican standoff has to end...and end soon.
  15. But my question is when would taking on a cap dump or retaining part of Jack’s cap hit, ever be a help to the Sabres? Unless you are referring to it meaning the return would be greater if the Sabres accepted a dump or salary retention
  16. So no cap dumps and no salary retention for a broken Jack? You have no idea how bad the return is going to be.
  17. If, and that’s a big IF, Vegas is willing to part with Krebs, I wouldn’t mess around too much if I were KA. I’d settle for Krebs, Tuch(missing at least 1/2 of 21-22 season), Smith(cap dump/rental) and a 2nd round pick and call it a day.
  18. Nice job Botts. Bozo kept Glotov around for another year and cut Hagel loose. https://www.secondcityhockey.com/2021/8/6/22612234/chicago-blackhawks-sign-brandon-hagel-to-3-year-4-5-million-contract-extension-salary-cap
  19. UPL is 22 and has played a whopping 25 games at the AHL level, winning only 11 of them. Anyone in the organization who thinks he is ready for the NHL is delusional (including Terry)...no matter what he does in training camp and the preseason.
  20. Not even face punchers? 😂
  21. Look at the current set of organization goaltenders, and only one word comes to mind for the 21-22 season...TANK. If the plan was to sign Ullmark, then I refuse to believe this is Plan B.
  22. I think he is playing college hockey starting this fall.
  23. Just a wild unsubstantiated guess, but I think if Krebs was offered up, no matter who else was packaged with him, the trade would have already been made.
  24. Considering there is nothing going on for the next month until training camp begins, it will be a steady dose of Jack, Jack and more Jack....unless KA has some more $750k signings to announce.
  25. He will be a Sabres asst coach before you know it. One quick stop at the kiddie hockey academy, and then NHL here I am. 😊
