The other side of the coin, is how can anyone say he is the wrong guy for the job? The team that he acquired was supposed to -easily- be the last place team in the NHL. Look where they are now - competing for a playoff with basically the same players. Players are developing, you've seen the improvements in play for literally every single player on that roster that he acquired. Thompson, Dahlin, Tuch, Skinner, Krebs, and the list goes on. Even Mitts is starting to look like an NHL caliber player. Year over year they are developing, and thats really all you can ask of a coach with a group that is this young/inexperienced. The man deserves the chance to see this through and he is the guy until he proves he ISNT the guy. It would take a colossal failure for him to not be the guy (i.e. defensive woes aren't shored up next year and they miss the playoffs)

Is Johnson used much on Minnesota's PK?

I think the big one for me was Krebs. Going back to last year, it always felt like he would make the pass instead of shooting, regardless of situation. It was frustrating to watch. When he struggled this year to start, I wrote him off. Glad to see I was wrong, I like his trajectory and think he's going to be a solid contributor that I can see being able to play up and down the lineup.

He limped off during practice yesterday I believe. Looks like he is out for the time being.

Not every game is on ESPN+. Most of them, yes. But not all. I believe it is the TNT games that aren't on ESPN+? Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Biro is an all-star, and the honor is well deserved imo. He's had a good consistent year. It's funny, when I watch him, I don't think I've ever been blown away. But he puts up points consistently and appears to do the right things for the most part. I don't think he gets the respect from a lot of Sabres fans b/c he wasn't drafted, but the guy definitely has talent. Certainly a possible call up from Rochester at some point this year

Didn't listen to the podcast, but I have a question for those who did: is this Jeff Marek saying that he has heard from Portillo himself (or someone close to him) that he will choose to become a free agent? Or is this Jeff Marek guessing that Portillo will go to free agency? If he ultimately chooses to go the FA route, I'll be disappointed. He looked pretty good during the development camp and despite down numbers this year (michigan lost some great players), i think he's going to be a solid NHL caliber goalie.

Still kind of confused how Eriksen Ek(spelling?) got behind all of the Sabres on that last power play goal. Why was the Sabres defense so far up while the Wild were on the power play? Just an odd goal
