  1. And I don't think he'll be playing with a better talent in Utah than Tage?? Combine that with historically high 14% shooting percentage and.......
  2. Time will tell. A day gave time to research the two new guys and realize that the "off the ice" Peterka maybe wasn't as good as the "on the ice" Peterka. Tage certainly gave the thumbs up to the guys to Adams - Character sometimes trumps talent.
  3. Yep - It took Dahlin quite a long time to figure things out too
  4. Where's Rust playing? If he was a LWer he'd at least be a fit. An old RWer with inflated stats cuz he played with Sid, but still managed to be -22 = pass. Tard Byram for him and we still have holes at #1 LD, #1 RW, Goalie. Holding onto Byram, at least we have #1LD filled. Trades that create more holes = not good Kulich is your 2C, McLeod is a fine 3C
  5. And JJ's expected goals against and high danger?
  6. Maybe, but, Adams has done a disservice to Power with whom he's partnered him with. I don't like the fact Power is a giant with no physicality but he deserves to reserve judgment until he's played with a solid partner for a while.
  7. Exactly!! Byram with Dahlin works and I think Kesselring with Power could work. I know Byram wants PP time, but too bad, he's under team control. Keep Byram, sign ehlers = great offseason, or at least good offseason
  8. Keep Byram (paired with Dahlin), sign Ehlers for LW, trade samuelson for whatever = problems solved This team would be much better than last year's and much tougher to play against. Watch the inetrviews and highlights of Doan and Kesselring, Say what you will about the trade, but if they're on the ice when Tage gets concussed there is a fight
  9. Jason Robertson is the guy we should be targeting. Dallas desperately wants to sign him but has cap issues. Unfortunately, they probably don't have a desperate need for LHD. In this case I would do Byram, #9 and basically any top prospect As for UFA, why not keep Byram and play him with Dahlin (where he's quite good with) and sign either Ehlers - I'd literally cry if we could get him or Drouin Peterka's metrics were bad with Tage and really really bad without tage. Byrams metrics are good with Dahlin, not good elsewhere. Of course, I could paly with Dahlin and my metrics would be pretty good
  10. Agree and I do like Rust but he's not a fit and not for Byram. He was -22, playing with Crosby and he's a RWer. WE NEED LWERS!! Any trade candidates who shoot left?
  11. I think Byram and a rosen type should be enough for Kyrou. Unless Kyrou can play the off-wing (he shoots right), I look elsewhere. Love the player, don't love the fit. We already have Tage and Tuch at RW. I get "replacing JJ's scoring" but this isn't fantasy hockey where you just draft 12 forwards and don't worry about positions. Maybe Tage or Tuch can play offwing? Don't worry, our genious GM should have this all figured out Not for me, Rust is too old and not getting enough
  12. we can hope they have a simialr impact that McLeod did. He surprised in a good way, I would say
  13. I think this is too much - keep the 9th, send Byram and a prospect. Kyrou is a great player and you do what it takes to make it work, but look at this unbalance it creates. We should really be targeting a LWer. Centers: Kyrou, Norris, Kulich, Mcleod, Krebs (very strong - who moves to wing, specifically LW?) RW: Tage, Tuch, Quinn, Doan, (solid) LW: Benson, Zucker, Greenway, Maelstyn (yuck)
  14. The Sabres were interested in him at the trade deadline. He's listed as a center and shoots right. Can never have too many centers, but one of our centers would have to play LW then - between Norris, Kulich, Kyrou as none of them are a 3rd line center (maybe Kulich?)
  15. St Louis have a need for LHD? Kyrou would be an improvement over Peterka. Still have holes at goalie and D partner for Dahlin, but UFA or further trades should be able to address that Yep, but aren't his analytics pretty bad defensively?
  16. Kyrou is an older/slightly better version of Peterka, so would be good. I think he's allergic to defense too (like Peterka)
  17. I agree that I think they take Smith if he's there at #9, with his Penn State connection. I'm not as sure he'll get to 9 though, as I read an article yesterday saying "teams that passed on him will look silly when he wins the Norris is 5 years." We suddenly have decent organizational depth at RHD now. Other guys I's like at 9 are Bartone and Martin.
  18. A. all rumors, but s lot of heavy insider said so B. I might be wrong, but think that starts 7/1?? They get through the draft first then go to tampering
  19. Nope (a) Ehlers turned down a trade to Buffalo recently - why would he openly sign here? (b) UFA doesn't begin until next week
  20. How about something like Byram, UPL, #9 overall for Demko and Pettersson? VAN say no? Leaves a gaping hole at 1B defense, next to Dahlin than would have to be found in UFA
  21. I would theorize that Doan underperformed with 40 points in Rochester and Peterka was hurt for 30 games
  22. With Adams and Ruff in the last year of their contracts, I'm sure KA is going to try and trade it for an established NHL hockey player, if at all possible. These type of trades don't happen often but Savoie for McLeod has certainly worked out well for us so far (Not the same type of trade of course, but similar). Look to teams without a 1st, tight to the cap and/or rebuilding for such a trade. Don't know personally who that could be?
  23. Typical sabres type thing - you're left not knowing what you really have. At least we have a "world champiuonship" lacrosse team. On to football
  24. Bandits had a ton of bad bounces/luck -hitting quite a few posts. I only was able to watch the 2nd half, but Dane Smith seemed like a non-factor to me. Isn't he our best player, correct me if I'm wrong.
