  1. As long as the sabre games are regulation wins not OT wins.
  2. That offer may not be on the table with the Sabres. KA might not think he's worth it....who knows?
  3. The Sabres may want him to sign a Rochester tryout contract so he can play in the AHL playoffs (I'm not sure trhis is even possible at this point??) while Johnson may want to sign an NHL contract so he burns a year of his entry contract.
  4. Harington saying the Sabres might not be that high on him and rather have the 2024 2nd rounder than signing him??
  5. I see a 3/4 D as much more important than bringing in another G. Dahlin Sammy Power Legit 3/4 UFA or trade Boosh/Joker/61 Looks much improvement to me
  6. And he should be better next year when 100% healthy. If you look at his stats before this year and this year's = 2 different players. If okposo retires, he'll be a fine replacement
  7. We have 5 games left but NYI, PIT and FLA only have 3 games left each. 5-0 gets us to 93 points (heavy ask but just for fun) 2-1 gets PIT to 92 points 1-1-1 gets NYI and FL to 92 points So we need to win all 5 while we need PIT to lose 1 in regulation and we need either NYI or FL to not win 2 out of 3
  8. Bad puck luck but sometimes you make your own puck luck. We were plain putrid in our zone, the play by boosh was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen (especially up2 mid way through the 3rd). btw, power is out best overall dman and no offense to Dahlin, but he's not all that close right now.
  9. I don't think so. The quebec league (or whatever he plays in) has an agreement with the AHL where he can't go play there as a 19 year old. The have no such agreement with Europe.
  10. And two of the guys pulling up the Sabres age won't be hear next year: Anderson (41) and Okposos, however old he is. They're being replaced by a 21 year old goalie, and two 19 year old forwards (Kulich and Savoie)
  11. Correct - he signed an NHL contract so is ineligible for rh AHL playoffs. He could play in the NHL playoffs, but, that chance is likely gone.
  12. Agreed, only 2 options for Savoie: 1. Sabres 2. Loan him to Europe I think neither him nor Levi will ever see Rochester (Savoie obviously can;t next yera anyway)
  13. Don't overthink things - it's Levi and it's been Levi since last Friday.
  14. Thinking Tage will be back Tuesday too .... yep: 6 behind NYI with 3 in hand and hold tiebreaker 4 Behind FLA with 2 in hand and we hold tiebreaker and play them next 3 behind PIT but with only 1 in hand + they have a much easier closing schedule, so they may be tough to catch
  15. I agree with everything except Joker was god-awful tonight. A turnover machine who was mostly responsible for Goal #2 against. I nthat last PK he tried to give a goal away by clearing right to the Flyer in front instead of clearing it down the ice.
  16. Levi will play Tuesday. We were so awful with turnovers tonight - my guess is the sh*tty ice surface led to at least some of this
  17. I think he's referencing the Jack who has 8 less goals and 4 less assists this year than Tuch. For you keeping score at home, that means the Masshole has 12 less points than Tuch this season (and I'm not even bringing up Krebs, Östlund and Greenway - who we traded the 2nd we got from LV from)
  18. Joker just sucks to me - replacement level player who makes too many defensive mistakes/turnovers and is a 0 offensively. I would like to see 2 Dmen added this offseason with him gone: 26 23 25 traded for 46 traded for reserves: 10, 62 (or please one), Stillman
  19. No Hart is a big thing for us
  20. UPL is playing for his future just a bit. He saw the future last night and if he wants to be the future Sabres back up.....show up tonight
  21. you nailed the logic - unless he struggles badly in the last 5 games he plays in this year he will never play in a game in Rochester
  22. Yep, but if you watch the game recaps, our goalie (Anderson) in those 2 games was very bad - he gave us no chance whatsoever: March 17 game - we outshot them 38-22 but Anderson allowed 5 goals on 22 shots for a sterling sav% of .773, possibly his worst game of the year Jan 9 game - Anderson gives up 3 goals in the 1st and we mail it in from there. we're outshot 31-26 but again not Anderson's best moment
  23. Stillman will make a fine 7th or 8th next year; i don't need to see Bryson every again. Dahlin/Sammy Power/trade Joker/Boosh Stillman/anybody not named Bryson Johnson in Rochester
  24. Guessing one of our EHL level goalies tonight (prob UPL) nd definitely Levi Tuesday. Too bad as (a) Levi is used to btb's and (b) if we win tonight and PIT loses to BOS, things get a whole lot more interesting. I'm worried about both outcomes cuz we have sucked vs PHI this year and Boston may have a letdown tonight after clinching the Presidents trophy. Granted, if the playoffs started today, BOS would play PIT so maybe that will motivate them?
