Went to an improv show with Mrs. Slinky, so missed the game. I glanced at the score between sets and saw 4-1 Wings, and muttered to myself "yep, seems about right." This is a pleasant surprise to walk out to. Always like beating the Wings and the Laffs also lost again. That's a good night, friendos. On to the next one.

Huh, I figured they'd offer UPL as the sacrificial lamb tonight. Guess he needs to be protected. 🙄 I see no way this game is even remotely competitive. I am looking forward to seeing more of the Rosen-Ostland-Quinn line, so at least there's that?

The injuries and Dahlin situation are a baked in excuse to do nothing. I'm firmly convinced Adams isn't going anywhere because of exactly that. This outfit loves doing nothing.

A little better? Maybe. Guys like Zucker, Dahlin, Benson should just with the talent/experience injection (not including Norris because he's a ghost, a myth). But it'd still be awful because it was awful dating back to last year. Hell, it was faltering at the end of the Grenato days, it just fell off a cliff when Appert took over. Watching it this year, it looks more like a schematic issue than a talent issue. They remain obsessed with the drop pass which has never added anything. When they get it into the offensive zone I see a lot of standing around and almost no purposeful movement. There looks like there is zero plan. They just waltz into the zone and stand around waiting for something to happen and this has been happening for almost 100 games under Appert. Seth Appert is the issue, he SUCKS.

I will out of morbid curiosity.

Maybe Uncle Terry will give them a locker room pep talk and a day off after the Avs drop 11 on them tomorrow.
