Ok, so i am going to be the unpopular opinion. I am going to ignore WHO HE IS and WHERE HE CAME FROM!!! Bare with me here..... He was an exceptional player that played a brand of hockey that this team desperately needs. He is widely respected league wide (With the exception of Buffalo). He is someone OUTSIDE the organization that a lot of folks have been screaming that we need to add without recycling same people. He is and was a WINNER in every league and tournament he has been in. His knowledge of the game is also highly respected. I get his Buffalo tied past. I am sure he knows it as well. How much does that say for an individual that knows he is going to treated like a second class citizen by many fans of the team he joined. I honestly believe this could be a good thing for the organization and for himself. I also understand the bias against him. I am a day 1 fan and hate the Lames as well, but he could bring an outsider insight that is highly needed for this team. I am sure i will be lambasted for my thoughts, but does it really hurt? If he can guide our GM to make 10% better decisions to help this team, then it is a win.

In a weak draft with a relatively stacked farm team, there is ZERO reason to be drafting at #9. The pick is still worth something, even in a package deal. A somewhat weaker prospect does ZERO to help this team. Will it happen? Not with KA. As with most of the rest of us, i have no confidence that he can build a NHL playoff team. Could that change? Yes but it has not under his regime.

When you have zero say and you love the game as much as I do, you enjoy the good moments, even if they are fleeting. Groaning and bitching about something you cannot control does nothing.... tired of being miserable over a sports team.

It is what it is. Management does not seen to care about winning. Now I just watch to watch as that's what I do. They win they lose I don't care, I just watch.

Love the way the Amerks are playing. This is a team that can destroy any team when they are firing on most cylinders. When they are firing on all??? Forget it. Even if 1/2 of these prospects do not make it to the NHL, they are going to be AHL studs.I can easily see 5 or 6 of them doing very well in the NHL and that includes players like Johnson who has always been a fave of mine. Do not hear his name called often but he plays defensively sound every shift. Definitely could be a great fit for the Sabres soon.

I love Benson. He has some serious upside! He is not a top line guy though. He needs to be on the third line with other agitators and speed. That is his wheelhouse. As some gritty speed with him and turn them loose!

Some quick T&O (Thoughts and Observations) - We need a power forward that will go to the net every time we are in the zone!!! How many games have you watched and noticed they do not go to the net at all!!! It is like it was coached out of them! LOL - We need a physical stay at home RHD that can clear the crease!! I love the new guy (JBD). Not flashy, he is physical when needed and plays a simple game! A decent 4-6 Dman! Get us a top 4 RHD!!! - Need a real top line! Benson, Kulich and Thompson are not it.... and should never ever be considered one. - GM needs to go. We need a real GM with a real plan and vision. Just making the playoffs should never be the mission, but hell you need to at least get there!! This team needs to be in the playoffs next year, plain and simple! Another OUTSIDE person for GM needs to happen! - Special teams suck!!! Huge changes there!! PK needs to be aggressive all the time! PP needs everything! LOL Horrible!! - Goalie Carousel needs to go away! It is going to happen next season. Levi, 6K, and Reimer (Believe he wants to stay again!) Either leave Levi one more year and get a real #1 and get rid of 6K or let Levi play if he is ready and leave UPL as a back up. Personally both UPL and Levi have the talent to be in the NHL. I truly believe that. But it was not enough this year. Needs to be seriously fixed!! OK, a lot but my thoughts....

JBD is a solid 4-6 dman. He has played good for us since he started playing. Straight forward no nonsense dman. We just need a bit better one of him for the top 4 that can clear a crease

Looking like a great trade for us. I think Doker for Cozens was a fair trade and we get another goal scored (ThaT is hurt alot) I am ok with that as long as he tallies 25+ goals next year

Norris needs to be on the top line next year with Tage as long as he is healthy. Hoping shutting him down will let him heal and be ready for next year. A top Line of Kulich, Tage and Benson is not a top line. Anyone that thinks they are, needs to have their head examined

14 years should be a huge embarrassment on this franchise and a fire should be lit to make it next year. Will it happen? Not a chance. Status quo baby! TPegs is rich and making enough money off of the Bills. Wash rinse repeat!!! Sabres Moto!

Needs: - Power forward that lives in the opponent crease. - Defensive Dman that can clear our crease and is physical - Goalie. I have no problem with Reimer, but we need a clear #1. This team needs a clear decision 1/2 way through camp who that is going to be.

Funny, we bag on the non action of KA but more often then not he has pulled out a decent trade for our club with us getting the better end of the deal. Not a fan of KA but will give him credit for bringing in some awesome pieces that makes our team exciting to watch at times!! Now lets make them exciting all the time!!!

After another disappointing no playoff year, i see a definitive brighter future for this team. We have seen runs at the end of seasons but this one definitely looks a bit different. Chemistry is definitely being generated by the different lines as we move along which is something that took forever to develop this year. Here lies the problem though..... 3 players that are injured will be starters next year. Not to mention whatever token move KA makes (You all know he is not going anywhere) if going to affect the lineup. This team still needs a defensive RHD and a net front offensive presence. Watching the kids growing up and playing more responsible will definitely benefit the team as well. JBD is looking like he may be a decent addition to the backend as well! Adams needs to trade some assets and finish the damn job!

He has looked good in the small sample size. If he can maintain that play then we get what this team needed on a throw in piece for Cozens.

Unfortunately UPL is not going anywhere. He is looking like a backup though, not a starter

This is and or was a good trade for BOTH sides. All 3 players traded needed that change of location. All 3 seem to be performing as advertised where both sides are happy. Cozens seems to be doing good and we are getting production out of the 2 that we got (Injury notwithstanding)

I just want to kids to improve and grow up and to keep consistently playing like they have the last few games. It is in them to do it, now do it for 60 every game and we will make the playoffs next year!! Still need a defensive dman and some more vets....

This will put the Sabres in the playoffs next year if they can keep doing this. It is and has always been what is missing.
