Lots of ex-Sabres to root for!!! A ton with points already!

Do not think the Marlies have anything to play for....

I think we have better talent than all 3 of those teams overall. Not to mention a ton better prospect pool.

I am actually surprised we have not heard any rumors on any names. As of now i think we are the only open spot....

I personally think the Arizona fiasco is a black eye for the NHL. Bettman was trying to force a franchise on an area that clearly does not want one. Just because they are one of the biggest markets does not mean that a NHL franchise needs or they want one in their area. The Sabres are bad but Arizona was a tire fire.

Ok.... a couple of things about some of the things that were said: - It makes me mad when professional PAID players says they need to be motivated and or pushed. Enough said about that, it should be self explanatory. - Totally agree with a heavier structure that starts day one. You can tell this team definitely did NOT have that. - I think Tuch should be wearing the C over Dahlin. Dahlin get the A. Just listening to them both, Tuch is more mature. Ok, that was more than a couple, but just my thoughts.....

Because here in the NJ market, it has been said that the winning system was Brunette's system. As you see, he took it to the Preds and it is working wonders.

So, in order (Experienced coaches only): Brindy - Not leaving the lames though Q - Not coming back to the NHL, be very shocked if they do. Berube - Most likely the most available choice Gallant - Just slightly ahead of Ruff Lindy - As much as i like him, prefer not to retread. Do not believe he was responsible for the Devils being good last year.

First off, Ruff was most likely not responsible for the Devils last year. Andrew Brunette was most likely responsible. Once he left, the Devils went to straight garbage. Ruff although could be a decent choice as he is a hard nose coach, is not the Sabres Savior.

Not true..... they were turned down for greener pastures. Leafs over the Sabres, no brainer....etc.

Hamilton was on GR. I am one of the ones that actually likes what he has to say and had some good thoughts. Appert - Harder nose coach. Could be what this team needs, but not proven at NHL level. Brind’amour - Actually good friends with KA. Hamilton seems to think if he wanted to move on from the Canes he would be interested here. BIG IF Though Ruff - Been there done that. Peca - Here is an idea i like. Seems to be doing well in NY and is a hard working player that would expect the same from his team. Again, no NHL Level coaching exp. Any retread - There is a reason why they are not employed right now. Would be a bit skeptical. A good point was brought up that this is going to be a good job to walk into. Owner with money, lots of skilled players at NHL and in the pipeline. Is it the best job, no. But the coach that takes this team to the playoffs would be treated like a god. (For a couple of years anyways)

On GR it was stated that supposedly Ellis contract is up so does not need to be let go.

Ok, although i am not a huge fan of Appert, he said a lot of right things when he coached a couple of games when Donny was sick. I have no problem being interviewed, but we need some NEW blood brought in. I was to see 4-5 interviews.

So Don gets paid for the next 3 years cause of a horrible decision on an extension. I think Don should be kept for player development.

I am actually scared to think of who would be new coach....LOL

Quinn and Peterka are NOT physical players. Peterka avoids contact like the plague and does not have the size nor strength yet to fight against the wall (Will come in time me thinks). They are great players, but we need more physicality.

No, they lack physical toughness because it is NOT part of their game. Most of our younguns are non physical players. Just like most of the Sabres. Totally agree with Benson, he is a chippy SOB to play against. He will get stronger, and be more of a skilled pest, and he can take a beating. We definitely need more like him with some size.

No feeling that Pegs is going to do anything but status quo. Not feeling that KA is going to make the changes needed to take this team forward. I would like to think that some of the assistant coaches will be gone, but unfortunately do not see that happening either. I have just totally lost faith in the management/leadership of this organization. Unless we get really lucky next year i see 14 years and counting. I am very much hoping that the Sabres prove me seriously wrong and they look committed to actually winning again.

Actually can care less about this game. Rather improve draft position and hope the idiots draft a power forward. I can honestly say i have no desire to watch any of the remaining Sabre's games. I have NEVER said that. Thanks Pegs, KA, and Donny No Nuts
