Trade Rosen, joker, Oloffson and UPL for Hellebuyck. A lot of problems solved with a trade like this. Winnipeg needs bodies too

I think he’s a great 5/6/7 playing 11 minutes a night.

I don’t want Pesce, Hanifan, or any other 1 year rental unless they are signing an extension.
Agreed. Are you willing to go 5 and $6.5 per for him? Is he worth it especially considering you’re probably giving up a 2024 1st for him. I wouldn’t and I don’t think KA will either. Just sign gudas as a UFA, 3 years $5 per, maybe $6

I got nuthin, really. It sounds like we got a kid with outstanding talent. He slid to 13, why? Because he’s not 5’10”? I hope its that simple. I like me some outstanding talent.
Fortsen, who typically doesn’t BS, said he’ll end up being the best player in the draft. That’s saying a lot given who went #1

I think he dropped a little because teams thought he was a little bigger. He was listed at 6’1” or 6’2” different places, but then measured 6’0.5” at the combine. It’s not much, but I do think it dropped his stock a little.
He’ll grow another inch or two. Fortsen said his Dad is 6’3” his mom 5’10”
he very well can end up being 6’3”

Fortsen said his Dad is 6'3" and his Mom is 5'10", so it's likely this kid grow another couple of inches

Wouldn't that be something if he slides... I think past 11 though is unlikely.
Moore would be my choice if available at 13. Fastest guy in draft

I sign korpisalo as our 1B goalie
i trade Oloffson and our 2nd 2nd round pick for Tanev
I trade UPL for a 3rd rounder
BPA at #13 and at #39 (I think it’s 39). These draft picks are too far away to target positions. Somebody we don’t expect to fall will fall to #13 and #39. It always happens. kulich last year and JJ the year before are perfect examples.

I'm wondering if Tanev would be the best fit for Power. I have a sense that he has some "Loose Cannon" in him and that makes me concerned about his helping with the development of Power. Then there is also the question about how well he fits in the locker room. I could be totally wrong about this and will happily be corrected by those who know better.
Have never heard that about him. And with 1 year left on contract (I was corrected when I incorrectly said 2) he wouldn’t be all that expensive. He would help solve the PK problem and the lack of quality defensive defenseman

Tanev shoots right, has 2 years left on a very reasonable contract and is from Toronto. Analytics say he’s elite defensively only behind Macavoy in the entire NHL. He’d be perfect for Powers. He provides very little offensively but that is pretty irrelevant.
Oloffson and a 2nd for Tanev is more than a fair offer (maybe too much). CGY needs wingers desperately.

If not Hanafin (who’s really only average in the d-zone) how about Tanev? He has a 10 team no trade but is ELITE defensively, which is exactly what we need. He is 33 but has 2 years left on a very reasonable contract

Something like Rosen, a 2023 2nd and a 2024 2nd May get it done. The 2024 might have to be a conditional 1st.
he’d have to be willing to sign an extension with Buffalo, something like 6 years at $7m per. Calgary prob has to trade him as he’s in the final year of his contract and has told them he’s not resigning

Exactly. Draft Michkov but then move one of the smaller prospects with value to preferably add a defender.
Are we trading up in rd 1 to draft Michkov cuz I would be shocked if he lasted past pick 7 or 8?!

I think harts ceiling is very similar maybe below Levi’s.
I would rather sign a UFA costing no assets and trade UPL for a mid round pick then pay significant assets for Hart.
An extended Hellebuyck is a different story - I’d pay what it takes for him.

I think a bunch of us are going to be disappointed. I don’t see KA spending assets on a goalie for a year or two. Not a “good one” anyway.
And it will annoy me.
I think he can sign a korpisalo type that costs no assets other than $$. And the cap is no issue for at least a few years. Korpisalo would be an huge upgrade over UPL and Comrie and probably an upgrade over Levi is his stage of development. Granted, if you sign him you have to trade UPL and probably hope Comrie clears waivers to Rochester.

1. Depth faceoff guy
2. Based on the market, unlikely
3. If DeMelo gets a 2nd from 2023, Jokiharju can get a 2024 2nd and a 2023 4th
4. He'd be a great bot pair player with the ability to sub in as needed on high pairs as well as bringing oodles of playoff experience
5. Probably a 4/5 but his purpose is to purely be Power's partner
Valid points

Yes it is a market thing for me that says Hart not worth the 13OA in this upcoming draft, especially when we already have Levi and UPL. UPL could be pretty close to Hart by next year. Comrie would serve as a stop gap replacement, and a 2nd rounder is all I will give them for Hart. My name is not Murray.
Or I might consider trading UPL and a 3rd for Hart.
Lets see who gives up a #1 for Hart.
I don’t see Hart getting a mid first rounder for. An extended Connor H = yes ++ and also yes to the NAS goalie but no way to Hart

Bravo to Buffalo selling out the playoff games!! I remember watching the first championship in year one.
My memory may be failing me but I think it was 9-9 or 10-10 with 30 Seconds left in regulation and Geary (I think) saved a breakaway against Philly for Buffalo. It went into OT, Philly didn’t score on the first possession then Tavares scored behind his back to win it.
Not too proud to say I cried. My mom came by the tv and said, “why are you crying?” I said “we’re world indoor lacrosse champions.” She said ,”you’re messed up.” I said, “yes I am.”
After seeing all other buffalo teams fail in pivotal moments, to see the Bandits win there, it was just crazy. I haven’t followed them as closely since then but will always be so thankful for that moment and Tavares’s incredible goal.

A shame they couldn’t have a better effort with a sellout crowd. This series is over. Last year it was Laval’s speed, this year it’s Hershey’s size and physicality. It was a nice run.
Down 2-1, the series is over already? Wow.

These might be the two best teams in junior hockey. Seattle are absolutely loaded.
If Winnipeg are out here soon does Savoie join the Amerks for the next round? Would love to see it.
He’s not allowed to play in the AHL, so probably can t join them either

He won’t win but really should
