Celebrini is a good one. Man did McKenna explode at the U18s can’t believe that kid is 2 years away from being drafted. I still would like to see the Sabres trade the pick if it isn’t a lottery win. If they don’t trade it and stay at 11 I could see Senneke or Helenius being the guy. I think Iginla goes top 10. Not sure which dman will fall but that could be an option as well.

No playoffs for 13 years is awful but Leafs fans experience over that time might be worse.

I was in Belleville two years ago when Murray scored the OT winner to win that series. He seems to have a clutch flare for the dramatic.

It is like any sport. If you have got the body and tools then you will get multiple chances because there will be teams that think they can fix you in their system with their coaching.

I still call Toronto and offer Skinner for Marner to see if they are desperate enough to bite. Marner probably waves to Buffalo as it is so close for one season before UFA. Skinner waves to Toronto. One year of Marner is worth getting out of 3 years of Skinner. I don’t think Toronto does it but it would be a nice solution.

The same spot that Dahlin and Cozens teamed up on that play to tie the Bruins late in the game last season.

It was a tough series for the Leafs. I think they deserved better. Nylander was hurt the first half of the series, Matthews the second half. Finally found a reliable goalie in Woll and he is injured for Game 7. Both goals were bad by Samsonov. Marner has to go. Tavares they will let walk in UFA after next year. Their PP was 1 for 21 which is unbelievable with that talent they have. Nylander was their best player when healthy, Domi and Knies were very good too. 8 years as a group, 1 playoff series win. I don’t think Keefe can be back either. Boston was right there for the taking. They can’t create offence to save their lives.

I wouldn’t touch Dubois if he was free. Absolute no effort cancer. He is exactly what the Sabres don’t want to be. LA knew this when he pushed his way out of Columbus to Winnipeg and played his way out of there. Imagine trading prime assets for a 25 year old 6’3, 220 pound centre, signing him to an 8 year big money deal and considering buying him out after a single season and taking a 14 year cap hit.

I would have Kulich and #11 pick on the table for the right piece. Either a long term partner for Power or a top 6 forward with some physicality to his game.

You can have a conversation without the obnoxious attitude mixed in. But you stick with that if it helps you get through your day.

I’m sorry. Didn’t realize these teenagers should already be dominating the NHL. They are developing nicely which will help organizational winning when they are ready to come up and help the lineup or be used as trade chips to bring in other pieces to help them win games.

If Skinner was making $3 million no one would care. He is taking up $ 9 million which is the big issue. He’s a one trick pony who is paid like a superstar. That is the issue.

It’s not just teenagers. There is a good balance but they are developing a lot of kids which a farm team should be. Wahlberg and Östlund just joined in the past couple weeks. At the end of the day Syracuse has a couple players that could help the Lightning. The Sabres probably have 8 that can be Sabres or NHL players on other teams if traded. They play hard. Peterka, Muel and Quinn have graduated from the Amerks and have become solid Sabres. Kulich, Rosen, Neuchev, Östlund, Wahlberg, R Johnson, Novikov, Levi are the next wave. Savoie and Komarov should be joining next year. The Amerks model is working for the kids.

Canadian RHD Henry Mews has made a lot of head scratching decisions at the U18s Gavin McKenna who is Bedard’s cousin by marriage is 16 and is unbelievable at the U18s. He is 2026 draft eligible but Button said today if he was in this draft he would go 1 or 2 behind 18 year old Celebrini.

Huh. Have you watched any of the games or is just dumping on the organization because you enjoy it? If you think a handful of teenagers should be running over a bunch of quality AHL bets then I don’t know what to tell you.

Levi is in God Mode! This is fantastic development for him. I have to say I really like the battle in Neuchev. He doesn’t back down and gets his nose dirty for a smaller super skilled guy

If he wanted Lindy and hired Lindy I have no problem with that. But to make a public statement that you talked to all these people make you look like a moron. You know reporters and insiders are going to ask available coaches if they talked to Buffalo. Just makes the whole operation look like a joke. Instead just say “Lindy was the guy I was focused on. From past history together I knew he had every attribute I was looking for and knew we could work together to right the ship.”

IF he became available and actually wanted to come here then you just bump Lindy upstairs where he will be in a couple years anyways.

Novikov-Komarov could be a hell of a third pairing in a couple years. Byram-Dahlin Power- ? Novikov- Komarov Ryan Johnson use assets like Muel, Joker, Clifton, young forward prospects to find that long term RHD partner for Power. Or sign a Demelo or Roy this offseason.
