What is Adams going to say today? If it is about taking the next step than it canât be Appert. Is he going to Atleast BS U.S. by throwing out the idea of an actual coaching search? I mean Sullivan could shake loose in Pittsburgh. Guys like Berube, Quenneville, Boudreau, Gallant are all itching to get back behind a bench. Brindamour is the unicorn dream right now. If all that experience and talent is out there and they just go Appert than Terryâs pocket book is closed, the internal cap is staying and the future sucks.

Who will be the next Head Coach of the Buffalo Sabres?
Flashsabre replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Brindamour is my 1A choice and Quenneville is 1b, Beurube 3rd. Quenneville has taken a lot of steps to meet with people and try to better himself. Heâs itching to get back behind the bench. 3 Cups, would be able to help attract high level coaches for his staff and players on the ice. Someone will give him a second chance and be happy they did. Might as well be Buffalo. -

Why are people so fixated on Peca? Was assistant coach in Rochester and now assistant for the Rangers. We donât know how good he will eventually be but now is not the time for another first time coach. -

I HOPE TO GOD I NEVER SEE THIS COACHING STAFF AGAIN. If Granato is back Iâm not. Itâs time to get serious. 13 years is a complete disgrace. Granato back=14 years.

It was a typo. New Head Coach Matt Ellis will address all of us Friday morningđ

https://www.cover1.net/where-the-buffalo-sabres-got-it-wrong/ This is a great article. Really makes you wonder how much sway Ventura and the Analytics Dept have with this team.

https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/bill-zito-promoted-to-florida-panthers-president-of-hockey-operations-1.2104757 I remember when Zitoâs name was being mentioned for the Sabres job. They always seem to make the wrong choice

You just know he is putting up a 60 save shutout tonightđ

Granatoâs plan to just let them play run and gun last year and teach them defence this year was such a red flag. The whole idea from Adams down to go with the kids has not worked. Kids develop when out in a structured system with vet talent to lead the way. Look at the amount of young QBs that get drafted early and go to bottom teams and fall flat in their faces. They donât have the talent around them to succeed. A player like Power is dying for a quality vet D partner to help him out.

I would sign DeMelo or Roy and trade both Muel and Joker for help up front Byram Dahlin Power Demelo/Roy Johnson Clifton keep Bryson at 7 until Novikov is ready I just donât see Muel staying healthy long term and now you could get something for him from a team that thinks he will. Go get an impact forward with Muel, Joker, 1st pick, one of the prospects.

14. Joshua Eernisse, RW, Michigan-Big Ten Eernisseâs pure numbers wonât get you overly excited, and this is not a forward who gets power play time at Michigan. But he is a big, fast, and highly competitive winger. He is very physical and brings it every night. Eernisse uses his feet and good enough skill to take pucks to the net and creates enough offense in a highly translatable way to the pro game. This is a guy I would love to see them sign. They canât find these guys to save their life. Bottom 6 winger who is highly aggressive

The Ray of Hope is the Vancouver Canucks. Same core but they brought in Tocchet, Gonchar, Foote as a coaching staff and changed everything around. I believe the right coaching staff that demands accountability and structure could turn this team into a playoff squad next season. Whether the Sabres are willing to do it and have any clue who those coaches would be is a completely different conversation.

I see 2C and top 4 RHD as big holes. Cozens needs to be 3C or RW. Chandler Stephenson, Monahan and Duchene are 3 guys that could fill that role. Demelo, Matt Roy, longer shot:Pesce, would help Power immensely. If they could add one up front and one on the backend I think it would go along way. I fully expect UPL-Levi next year. A Stephenson- Roy offseason seems the most realistic especially with Vegas just extending Hanifin. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN ANY OF THIS HAPPENING đ

Why should Granato and the assistants be brought back?
Flashsabre replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
So the only valid reason to bring Granato back is the contract extension they gave him last year.đ€Ź Veteran Assistant=Matt Ellisđ Appert would most likely be the move especially if they go another couple rounds this post season. I want to see a departure from the Sabres norm. Berube, Boudreau, a successful coach let go by another organization this offseason. A move that says that Terry has had enough and wants to get serious about fixing this mess. -
Power will be an elite offensive dman. He will never drive people through the boards or drop the gloves and demolish someone. If that is what you want him to be that is your problem. He needs a coach to help him with blocking out and clearing the front of the net. He would benefit greatly from a more simple, structured defensive system.
