The only reason Leafs gave a 3rd is because they are desperate, are praying he returns to form of years ago playing with Reilly and they had the Ducks retain 50% because they have no space. Marner had to play D for half the game last night. This is just a warm body to put in the lineup.

I’d like not to have the number 1 prospect pool anymore. It’s been nice for a decade but now we desperately need to be in the bottom half of the prospect rankings while talking about which team we want to face in the first round of the playoffs.

Two years in a row that this team starts to play competitive hockey way to late in the season. UPL looks legit. When is Quinn and Muel expected back? I want to see the Sabres win but I also feel I want them totally out of it by the trade deadline so Adams has no excuse to hold on to some of these guys that need to be moved. This offseason they need a big time coach and staff in here. Hopefully Dudon won’t pay Brindamour and he ends up in Buffalo. This team is not that far off which is the most frustrating aspect of it all.

If Brady is fed up with the losing and an organization that can’t figure it out he would be absolutely THRILLED to be traded to Buffalo😜

This game is what makes this year so frustrating. The pieces are here. We are getting consistent goaltending. The regression of the PP is just mind blowing. I put the failure of this season at the feet of the coaching staff. With the offensive talent they have to see the PP be that awful is inexcusable. What makes Brindamour so impressive is that their goaltending is nothing to write home about and they really don’t have a lot of weapons up front but Rod gets them ready to play every night and they play a system that allows them to be opportunistic when they need to. And their special teams are both tremendous. I think if you take this Sabres roster as is and add Brindamour and his staff that this team is in the playoffs right now.

I posted that offer because that is what they would ask for. Who is the guy reporting maturity issues? An insider or some ham and egger fan on twitter? Even if true he might be inmature for what they need as a captain but be fine as a guy in the room. I know him and Dahlin became fast friends at the draft stuff and he and Mitts are buds. I would be surprised if they moved him but even more surprised if it was in division. What if they wanted Quinn (Ottawa junior) Peterka (buddies with Stutzle) and Levi? This type of deal would have to hurt. He does bring a game the team could really use.

EVEN if they were considering moving Brady I highly doubt it would be in division. This would be a Western Conference type trade. And what would they even be looking for?

Please explain if it is on UPL. If he is number 1 in .GAA and sv% he is giving the team a chance to win each game. Do you expect him to score the goals needed to win the games too?

Peterka and UPL have really been the bright lights this season

The one big positive this season has been UPL. This is the guy from Sudbury in the OHL and the WJCs. I think this is him moving forward. I have really enjoyed watching him tend net this season. So poised and comfortable in the crease.

So you think they should present these players participation medals after every loss with the fans giving them a standing ovation as they skate off the ice? This isn’t Peewee hockey. They signed multi million dollar, long term deals when most of them haven’t earned them yet. And they have 💩 the bed this season. Grow up and earn your money like everyone else that has a job has to do.

Might have to sweeten but Atleast hypothetically it has some merit. Couture is 34 and has 3 years left at $8 million and is currently injured. He would add the vet leadership that Buffalo needs. Skinner would give SJ the younger player that can out the puck in the net for them. IF they want to move on from Skinner it won’t be pretty and it will involve taking on another team’s bad deal. Atleast Coture would add what they need more of. Ofcourse with Skinner’s NMC he could block it but if the team doesn’t want you anymore maybe he waives to move on.
