  1. Saw this today. Clinton supporters are angry with the Electoral College but were okay with Superdelegates.
  2. What an awful team we have. Can't pass. Can't cycle. Can't score. Can't defend. Stands were fun. Even in a loss. Chant that cut to the core. "How many cups does Buffalo have?" Zerrroo, Zerrrrooo.. Done in a very mocking way.. They also get a very focal, "You Suck" going...
  3. All this points to is what an extraordinary bad campaign she ran. The game was well known, she had New York, Illinois, California, Washington and Oregon, and practically all of the northeast in the bank without lifting a finger. All she had to do was secure her base, and she failed to do it. She had every advantage going for her too. She spent too much time schmoozing the likes of George Clooney and not enough time schmoozing Joe Six Pack. Essentially Trump won with 112,000 votes garnered from Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. That is where the election was won/lost regardless of the popular vote.
  4. I'm having trouble saying it, seeing it and believing it. What did we just do? Even his own staff woke up on Wednesday and said, did that really just happen? Should be an interesting two years. I expect the midterms to be a major correction. So he has two years to effect as much change as he can. I do wish him well, just can't quite believe we did this.
  5. In NJ for tonight's game. Staying at Newark Penn Station Hilton. Fantastic. Jumped PATH into NYC. So easy and convenient. Hotel is connected to train station and indoor walkways to Prudential Center. Very nice. Also have some #NotMyPres protesters here blocking Market Street on the way to the Prudential Center. Could be interesting this evening.
  6. Need to vote this week. 1 unit on Sabres, regardless of line versus NJ in NJ
  7. Very interesting stats on the Native American vote.. Still... WI has not gone for GOP since 1988. And last time, they had Paul Ryan on ticket, and still that was not enough. Trump pulled out of events there and openly snubbed the House Speaker. How anyone could see this going to the GOP before the election is impressive in my book. Oh and predict it months ahead of time too..
  8. Seth was particularly brutal the last two months. I think Trump should appoint him to Press Secretary.
  9. Dang.. Was hoping to watch him for the first time tomorrow. Looks like I am going to watch the Amerks tomorrow night.
  10. I thought he had a better message and chance to tip Michigan. In fact, I sort of called it in here the day of, tepidly, admittedly, but that was the one I thought he could flip. But not Wisconsin. I have a sister and niece that live there. They never saw it coming. Especially with how liberal Madison is and how much Milwaukee tips the count.
  11. This team.. argh.. I'll be at the game tomorrow night with my son.
  12. The fact that he put Wisconsin in there when NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE saw that coming makes that very prescient. Wisconsin was the de facto tipping point for the night.
  13. No blueline scoring is the culprit. Why, they shoot into skates.
  14. Thank you for your service, sacrifice and dedication. America is an amazing country that sports the most powerful military apparatus in the world and they serve a civilian command structure.
  15. From 538 700 proposed constitutional amendments have been offered in Congress over the past 200 years to modify the Electoral College. None have passed. Seems like we are stuck with this.
  16. You know there is at least one, hopefully her name is Hillary.
  17. I sure hope the Clinton and Trump war rooms were filmed on Election Night. I would love to see the real reactions, done documentary style, as the night unfolded and the drip, drip, drip of the vote count started to become clear. I'm fascinated by elections and the process and this one very well may be the equivalent of a 100-year flood. I was flipping between ABC/CNN and the look of disbelief as it was unfolding was palpable. George Stephanopoulus was visibly mad (you could see it) as results from Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania were limping in. They had the entire narrative scripted for a Clinton ascendancy and seemingly had nothing prepared for the Trump win. They were forced to fill hours of airtime with nothing prepared and panelists who were too stunned to speak. It was the most memorable night on TV since Bush/Gore. It would make a fascinating documentary.
  18. The real issues would be environmental impact statements (of course he could hand waive through those with EO in the interest of national security) and legal issues requiring eminent domain decisions (because the land it would be built on is largely in private hands) which would require long court cases. Money is no object. We spend billions on space telescopes and air craft carriers and rockets. Look at it as an enormous jobs program, consuming made in America materials..
  19. Heard a new one on the TV today... people are suffering from post election stress disorder... PESD .... Really?
  20. Saw that... I wasn't certain how I felt about him and his movement. I am now.
