I geniunely believe that having an engaged owner is better than not. I like to hear that the owner is in continuous review of the team and wants to improve the product. As long as he isn't behind the bench I'm more than happy. By chatting up the GM, at least the GM knows what deals he can chase.

10 or so things I think I know 1. Third period was brutal. There wasn't a single, legitmate offensive attempt to shoot at the goal in the last 8 minutes. . That was just brutal to sit through. Sabres would withstand the barrage on each shift, skate the puck to center, dump it in and then head off for a change. 2. Wide open net and Pommers shanks one.. Seriously Mein Cap-a-tan? Or should I say Mon Cap-a-tan? 3. Last year's darlings of FES have yet to put together two memorable shifts this year. Whatever late-year chemistry and flow they showed us last year has yet to appear this year. 4. Toronto lost the game in the first when they didn't cash that long PP which included about 40 seconds of 5 on 3 5. Speaking of the first, I'm convinced the Sabres played more 5 on 3 than they should have. Myers was out of the box and yet there were still only 3 skaters on the ice. 6. Grigs better gets some points like fellow freshmen classmates or he's going back to the Q. He's 40% through his 5 games and all he has to show for it is two SOGs and one nice pass.. 7. Faceoff, faceoffs, faceoffs.. Young centers didn't get the job done last night. 8. Miller deserved a shutout... Too bad the team didn't have the legs to give it to him. 9. Scott lost. If he is this team's enforcer, then that first fight didn't show much. I'm willing to give him a mulligan. 10. Weird game to watch.
