  1. That seems unlikely to me.
  2. The Wire is my favorite series. The last season with the Sun newspaper and the season focused on the port of Baltimore were not as strong as the others, but still incredibly compelling TV. Living near Baltimore, I lived through those years with the drug war raging and the high murder rates. I wish they would consider a remake. I did a "wire tour" one weekend and went to the West Side places shown in the series. Some of them no longer exist, but some do.

  4. NHL purgatory.. not too good, not too bad
  5. That didn't take long
  6. He was the last guy in here to put a winning staff and team together. It may be nostalgic on my part, but it HAS to be better than what we have seen. He is an NFL guy having worked at the higher echelon of things. He has to know people. I'll take my chances.
  7. I believe that is a unique work arrangement and uniquely unworkable work arrangement
  8. Swedes are destroying the Danes
  9. :D :clapping: :worthy: :clapping: :worthy: :D Now if he could just draft a Jim, Bruce, Howard, Andre and Thurman
  10. If by flat you mean GM/coach, yes it was the same. He assumed all control.
  11. Forget me not Lest we forget How do we forget?
  12. Lou has pulled this stunt before. He didn't tank last time. Then again, he was fighting for a playoff spot and not a draft position. Jagr won't let him tank. If they truly want to tank, they should give Schneider a rest.
  13. I know it's early, but the Slovaks are way over matched by the Canadians. Reinhart with an assist. oh my, the rout is on.
  14. We need a miracle; that kid needs to be a Sabre.
  15. To imply the Danes lost because of Ehlers is disingenuous. He was the best player on the ice in that game. No one really stood out to me on the US except Hanifan. It was a big win for the US against the Fins. That story NHL Network did on McDavid has sold me. The team that lands him will definitely turn the corner from pretender to contender.
  16. True he set up the goal, but outside of him skating around ALOT with the puck, he didn't stand out in my eyes. His shots on goal were all easy saves. He passed a lot on the power play. Now Ehlers for the Danes, he was all that and then some. I was expecting Eichel to dominate like Ehlers did.
  17. I agree. I'll chalk it up to first game jitters and lack of playing time. Eichel looked average. Butcher saved the game for the US
  18. Well that's a relief.... Get it....
  19. US-Finland 3p today NHL Network
  20. I went with 75.. the 06 team could not beat Brind'Amour in the face off dot. The injuries and the delay of game get the attention, but their failure to control the play in the dot, had them backed into their zone all series long.
  21. Is that bad?
  22. I hate people who complain about people using innocuous statistics in a thread dedicated to losing on an anonymous message board. :P
  23. Read on CBS Sports today... Tyler Myers has the league worst on-ice Corsi rating of -33.02.. Tyler doing his best as Tank Commander of the Sabres.
  24. I dropped 10 votes on him today..
