Watched The Iceman last night… Pretty good flick!

UPL needs obvious time to marinate. Next year, I can see him getting a couple games to see where he’s at. I’m thinking he’s 1-2 years away... and that’s optimistic.

I think that’s the standard. All team and staff get tested. I May be wrong here, but I think that’s what I read a couple weeks ago.

Good question. I don’t know that without deep diving into every teams stats and cap finances. I don’t have the energy to do that research 😂

Every team to more or less of a degree, have one or two “albatross” contracts they are dealing with. Between active players, buyouts, LTIR, or salary retention via trades. Skinner and Okposo are ours and it stings.

I’m certainly not worrying. And I obviously wasn’t talking about any individual person on here since I know no one on this board. Then no harm no foul if I wasn’t talking about you or a specific person. And I do agree our offensive output is sorely lacking ... at the moment. As is our goaltending. As is our defense.

Who’s actually panicking? Maybe a couple posters are. But I bet it’s their personality in their personal lives as well. Negative, worst case, glass half empty, life sucks type of people. Then I think some posters are just that way with sports only. Hence the word, fanatic. But a few posters (and I’m in this group) can watch a game, be aggravated or disappointed because of the loss or poor play, for about 10-15 mins after the game. Then we have it roll off our back and go on with life and not have it affect us in any way. Everyone “enjoys” sports differently. But panic? I don’t think many are doing that. And the ones that are, or are negative in almost every post, I personally tend to ignore them.

Logically ... What goalies, that are “tradable” from their team, are as good or better than Ullmark? And after that’s answered ... would the price be “too high” for the Sabres. Would fans be ok parting with Cozens, or Reinhart, or Risto, or Joker, or a combo of next tier prospects and an established NHLer on a fair contract? Some fans want the current roster gutted. Some fans don’t want to part with any top 6 player. Some fans want Skinner and Okposo gone. Not everyone is gonna like the price of trading for a slightly above average goalie. It’s probably gonna hurt. And my guess is, it will hurt quite a bit.

And yet, last game he did, I thought he sounded fine.

Maybe he is ... or maybe ... he IS This I honestly doubt but, I also wonder if he subconsciously (key word) thinks since Hall and Staal are on the team, he doesn’t have to go at 100% for every shift. I think he’s dinged up a little.

Without Sam in the lineup that’s gonna be a big loss. Eichel and Hall need to step it up, along with Skinner and Staal.

Obviously I mean Ullmark wasn’t bad tonight. 😂 But I wouldn’t mind seeing Hutton rotate in for a game now.

Not the best game tonight. Ullmark has played four in a row. Time for a Hutton game I think. Im not saying that saying Hutton was bad tonight… In fact he was rather good. It’s just that he’s played four in a row.

I bet that approach (by a coach) hasn’t happened in the NHL since the early 2000’s 😂

PerFor ... I’m absolutely not going to waste my time with your “wish list” of forwards I should look up stats on. You and I both know it’s a waste of time. You have your bias mind made up regarding Reinhart. Nothing I or others say today will change your mind. Ever. It’s a blind spot you have. Over the years, posters have done a “deep dive” into Reinhart with and without certain line mates. And almost EVERY time it shows favorably in Reinharts favor. But no ... the eye test and “feelings” are what you hold as truth instead of the facts sometimes. I also don’t need to explain to you, how I watch games. But it certainly isn’t like a video game. And it certainly isn’t being immersed in stats or analytics as the game is happening, besides the analytics that are presented during the intermissions that any 12-year-old who follows hockey can understand. I’ll look at the general stats and basic analytics after games. And it’s usually only the stats and analytics that are presented from posters on this forum. I look at other sites as well don’t get me wrong… But not every single game. If you choose to ignore any information except for what your eyes and feelings tell you… Then that’s the way you choose to enjoy the game. Good for you. You refuse to except that sometimes your eyes and feelings can deceive you… Especially when analytics are slapping you in the face telling you that you’re wrong. bottom line is… You and I both know it’s a waste of time for anybody to try to convince you that Reinhart is different than what you perceive. If somebody else would like to waste their time trying to once again convince you to think differently about Reinhart, they can. It won’t be me. but the “challenge“ that you proposed is an interesting one. But I think it should be extended to several other players and not Tkachuk or the scumbag Marchand.
