Had to do some work for school (report card season) so couldn't pay attention to last periods. But finished 5-2 to Canada and 7-1 to the US.

Both Canada an the US are starting early today. Heading to the 3rd period as I type. Levi in for Canada who lead 3-1 and, frankly are battering the Slovenians. Quinn has had some good battles on the wing but no points so far. Lucic fails to navigate the bench.... USA currently leading Hungary 4-1. Tuch making it 1-1 before Nick Bonino scores twice and Cutter Gauthier adds the 4th.

As an event, I think the draft lottery is terrible. We don't have to look too far to see that it doesn't discourage tanking. How could it be solved? I am a big fan of of the so called "Golden Plan". As soon as you are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs you begin to collect points for a separate draft standing "table". Team that finishes with the most points on that table gets 1st OA and the rest of the 1-16 order is determined by the same method. My 2nd favourite method would be using the same draft odds as we have. make a giant ball pool and fill it with balls that represent each teams odds for 1OA. Then all 16 general managers must dive into the pool to find a ball that has their team name stamped on it in tiny letters. The insert is determined by the order the GMs place their ball on some sort of plinth/podium.

I hope he comes over this off season.

Adding Brunette was pretty significant impo.

The only player I would consider trading up for* would be Michkov. If he drops to to the flyers at 7, then would see if they could swing a trade for that pick. Wouldn't trade up for any of the Dmen. * I'm at least trying to be semi realistic here, of course I would trade up for Bedard but I don't see the Hawks taking my call!!
