Trusted Nursing Staffing named Sabres Helmet Sponsors
steveoath replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I only have twitter for work - and even that is sporadic posting of school activities. If it goes behind a paywall I’m out. -
And shows that they should be able to play “playoff hockey” when the time comes.

Maybe they did go to someone else in house and were not listened to. It’s not like there is a lack of precedent for that in the NHL. trust was broken the moment Babcock decided he was the NSA and started wiretapping everyone’s phone. (Exaggeration for comedic effect). ETA: Babcock was ultimately left no option after the PA got involved after speaking to player(s) from what I gather - I think it was on the most recent 32 thoughts. No one should be making any excuses for this poor human.

GDT: Buffalo vs. Pittsburgh Prospects Challenge, 5pm

When relegation is an issue (football/soccer) games are more about not losing than they are about winning. Seen it in person. My football club (Greenock Morton) were relegated to the bottom tier in Scotland and although we were the best team most years on our way back up the leagues every opponent played anti football. It was not entertaining. In leagues Where b teams play, the parent club cannot be in the same division. So a sabres relegation would mean Rochester relegation also. with the drafting system in NA I am yet to be convinced that would work in a promotion/relegation system. Teams are responsible for their own farm systems which fall outside of financial fair play rules, so the teams with most money hoover up all the best prospects. Making games meaningful should be the NHL priority. I am a big fan of the crap teams still having to win for 1OA.

Ventura guests on the EBW podcast. Interesting if you’re into analytics. Talks about building up sabres analytics side as well as a lot of data and process stuff. also interesting is the chat about the Champions Hockey League (euro top teams from diff countries play each other). They are trying out 3 new rules: Scoring on PP does not end PP. Short handed goal ends PP. Goal on delayed penalty does not cancel the ensuing PP.

Annual expectations thread 2023/24: #12 Jordan Greenway
steveoath replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
What do I want from Greenway? More of this please -
The rule is crap. But would be kinda cool also for Savoie and Benson to come through together and be next years Quinn/Peterka in the AHL.
-
Showing my ignorance here, but here goes. If Savoie plays enough to burn a year of his contract, can he then be sent to the AHL?
-
The 2nd bit is from Boone Jenner and Babcock.

Glue factory for Babcock

Wonder what Levi will need to do to beat Bedard given how hard the NHL is using him for PR. playoffs ? 41+ games played ? .910+ sv% ? goalie goals ? (Jk)

Annual expectations thread 2023/24: #20 Jiri Kulich
steveoath replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I want to see him take his game up a notch in Rochester this year with, perhaps a call up later in the season if he is dominating. -
Scotland football team look to be heading to the euros next year. Top of the group and undefeated after 5 qualifiers.

Annual expectations thread 2023/24: #19 Peyton Krebs
steveoath replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Said it before. Middle 6 and give him a chance to be successful. Give him Mitts and Greenway. On paper that could be really difficult for other teams to matchup against. -
Benson gets the first home goal (albeit preseason) for Wenatchee Wild. Shorthanded. Nice.

Saw these clips on insta. Jeff back in training!

AHL bound or a trade. I don’t think he is in the plans.
