  1. I would put Asplund and VO with Cozens. Mitts and Hino with Jost. Lets see what they do, they may sub in better with Cozens in practice and he is going to start with that.
  2. Sometimes, when learning, can be best to step back and evaluate and watch. If the player is a good player, when he goes back he sees the game better. I trust Granato with this move.
  3. Well, He was in Jack’s inner circle and he got to sit with the cool kids at lunch.
  4. Yes, they have a bunch of vets and we have mostly kids and it showed in past games. This time we just have work hard, skate, and push back. We beat Boston, we can beat these guys. This is a good test of their mental make up.
  5. We played them in three games and your shaking in your boots, "oh no, can we compete with them?". Here is a bag of grit.
  6. There was a time when the team was under Eichel and Reinhart leadership - no matter who else had a letter. This team now belongs to Kyle, Dahlin, Thompson, Tuch, and Cozens right now - no matter who else has a letter. Bringing Sam back might not be a great move. Besides, I seriously doubt he wants to come back. His next stop is the Western Conference.
  7. Florida had great chemistry last year. Lots of players that they drafted and developed came together, others that they acquired (Verhaege, Montour, Reinhart, Bennett, Duclair) all had their best years so far. Never understood the coaching change, things were working for them. They traded Huberdeau, Weegar, a prospect and a conditional 1st rounder. Tkachuk is playing well even though the team isn't. For Calgary, Huberdeau is missing his old line mates and is off his normal scoring pace. Weegar is good but also off his pace of last year. Reinhart was very good for them last year. This year he had returned to his Sabre-like production - projects to 24 goals, 50 points.. Same with Bennet who has also returned to his pre-Florida production.
  8. Agree. I think they do that once Joker is back but why wait? Casey needs to play and he looks to be firmly behind Bryson and Clague.
  9. This game will tell us a lot. Our last two losses were to teams behind us in the standings. Both teams play a slower and physical game because they have far less speed and skill. We cannot play to the level of the competition, we must play our game and make them try to keep up. Like we did with Minnesota. The Krackers are decent team but not invincible. Tonight we bounce back and we beat them. Comrie - it’s your time to be a 1. EDIT: Now I am reading it will be UPL. I feel a little better given the way the team plays with him in there these past few weeks. If they summon Donny Edwards and send Al Smith scurrying to the dressing room I won't be surprised.
  10. This thread was bad juju - we should have been talking flyers, and not looking a game past them Can the mods close this and we talk about Krackers in the GDT?
  11. When did the playoffs become requirements for the Norris?
  12. ... and we get to listen to what could have been if we would have only kept Borgen. It really looked like they did not want to even touch a Flyer tonight.
  13. Did they even get a SOG on the power play? Philly clogging the lanes and letting them play perimeter passing game.
  14. Finally. They took too dam long to get pissed off.
  15. Ray calls him Clagg. He plays defense for the Sabres. His first name is Kale, but his friends call him Spring Mix.
  16. Tomorrow is a tougher opponent. They better play a lot better tomorrow.
  17. Face offs are not important, right? That would be nice.
  18. We were outshot in the second 13-12, and that’s with Philly hanging back. We had one strong shift with 28-19-21. Everyone else invisible.
  19. We look like we’re are avoiding contact and work. Very passive.
