  1. Yes, I’m am sure every coach in the league tell their team to run our goalie. πŸ™„ Dahlin responded with a heavy cross check. What else could he do?
  2. Mitts and VO look bad so far. Good call by ref to get both Frederick and Dahlin
  3. Before we get into the inevitable conversation on how big the Bruins are I did a check. Both teams average height is 6’ 1”. The Bruins average weight is 2 pounds heavier at 198.8 lbs. The Bruins average age is 28.4, three years older than Buffalo. Looking at team stats, both team have a good power plays and they score almost as much as Buffalo does ( the teams are 1 and 2). Boston prevents shots and goals much better than Buffalo (they are 1st overall we are 23rd) . They win face offs and we don’t, (they are 2nd and we are last) and they have a great PK (2nd vs 25th). So let’s win this game and take a step forward today. Muscle Weight.
  4. How about they play him in a game, once he is ready, and then see how he does? Why worry about who the backup is? Besides, Anderson is the 2. The dilemma is who will be the 1. Let their play decide that.
  5. Not into metal but gave it a spin. Since there are so many genre and sub genres today, this is more like pop-metal to me. Sounds like lots of compression and other effects on the vocals and throughout the recording. Drums are buried in the background too much. I give it a B. It has a good beat and you can dance to it.
  6. Agree. I suspect the bench will be shortened in the 3rd. Play Fitz over Bryson and maybe Asplund over VO. I hope TNT gets on track tonight too.
  7. Seems like a good move. I hope this guy comes back ok.
  8. Hogue said anti-French, he didn’t say anti- QuΓ©bΓ©cois.
  9. Agree on Kulich. Savoie is a fireplug. Only 5'9" but he is already 180 lbs and he can add more. He is a strong kid.
  10. Ryan Miller night will a big deal for the fans. It will sell out. My daughter is flying in from out of town to see her "favorite Sabre".
  11. Sometimes I think you are older, and then sometimes I think you are younger. I laugh at a lot of your comments, and I could be laughing for the wrong reasons on some of them.
  12. Yes. This is an important game for them. They are not going to catch Boston, but they need a "statement win". Boston is a division rival that has had it way with us for much too long. Win in their house and it will means something to the collective psyche of this group.
  13. Lets get it back to this: You DO NOT want to play in Buffalo's house because it is going to be an "L" for you. Our team is getting good. There will be more fans coming much more regularly. The Sabre need less than 1/3 the number of people that go to the Bills football games to fill the house. There should be people dying to get tickets, and there will be soon. Get Bills Mafia energy at Sabres games every night. That is worth a bunch more wins.
  14. He is getting " a fair shot and a good look". Which is probably what Adams says to every player he signs. Adams will fix the impression of this team around the league one player at a time. I wish Clague would put more zip on his passes and get more comfortable with the puck, do that to move him to a 6/7 rating.
  15. We can, and we should, do better than Jake McCabe. We want players that want to be here. That is not Jake (or his wife).
  16. Eh, just a little more impactful than Matty. He plays on the first pairing defense and the PK.
  17. I thought he was serviceable last night against the Wings. He made several errors with the puck and his passing is not very good. He did help support defending a breakaway with a nice defensive move - but he also let the guy get behind hm to begin with. He is a 7/8 guy to me.
  18. Yes. The TEAM numbers on Samuelsson do not lie. He is like Hajt in some ways. Bill Hajt - Tall, smart, strong, and rangy. Very good skater too. He would quickly get to the puck, look up and make a nice breakout pass - Boom - we are on the attack. Even when he was about to get hit he kept cool and made the play. He was a steady +30 player and excellent on the PK. He did this consistently for over 12 seasons and 840 games. Some people back in the day did not like that he was a not a fighter. He was an unsung as you can get.
  19. Really? That is interesting. Very un-Larkin-like. Icing was a bit of a mystery at times last night. Two in the first period were waived off that are normally called. I recall another one in the 2nd period. You have to play hard right to the whistle.
  20. He is a 5th rounder that played 200+ games in the NHL - respectable for his draft position, but he is an AHL level player. He had one promising year with the Bruins before Covid. After that he seems to lack consistency and energy. Cracking our lineup the past few seasons was not that hard actually. It is now, and it will be even harder in the next 2-3 years.
  21. Never did I think this was a bad look. The organization should be committed to improving the team. They did that by signing Jost and he has moved ahead of a number of bottom 6 candidates. The bad look was all on Sheahan, who signed a two way contract and did not honor it. He had an opportunity to play for the Sabres and he fell short. No player is bigger than the team.
  22. I think he would take some of Power's minutes, for sure he would. He has the experience and the offensive skill to do that. That said, he is not the ideal defenseman to help shore up our backline. I would say a veteran presence, a RH shot, proven on the PK, more stay at home, and someone that is both big and mobile.
  23. Ray was not shaming him, he was making a joke at his expense. It’s what guys do, or should I say used to do. I laughed and probably so will Hamilton. Younger guys are quick with jokes too. But rather than saying it you use innuendo, sometimes from gifs or emoji’s. Like that is a safe way of communicating the humor without actually saying it.
