  1. Yes. Kevyn will trade #14AO for a top 6 forward, possibly packaged for a 2C.
  2. You're right. I messed up.
  3. He is all of those things, but he is 34 and makes $11M/yr with term left.
  4. Two guys that I would like. A vet 2C/3C that scores 25 goals and 60 points, and a solid checker that scores 15'ish goals as a 3/4 line contributor. Anyone know the ask?
  5. Canucks would be acting like real team if they bring in Marino for Zadorov. I wish the Sabres could do these things. Simple things are hard for them. For some reason the culture issues feel more real right now. We need a few really positive moves to improve the roster.
  6. Too damm old to get that kind of money. IT would be so Buffalo to pay that though.
  7. @xzy89c1, Can you consider using the forum for its purpose, which is discussion and debate. I am growing tired of seeing your thumbs down and eyeroll responses. Use them if you must but what exactly do you dislike about the comments above? Just wondering what you stand for and agree with, if anything.
  8. If it doesn’t then we still might get the guy we wanted along at 14, there are several players bunched to together anyway, and we have the extra 2nd which also has trade value. I can complain about Adams with the best of them, and so far he gets a poor grade from me, but this trade was actually ok. He did get some value. Now, if could just improve the NHL roster.
  9. Yes but how much money do you want to spend on defensemen?
  10. Old school guys just don’t get a chance with TP.
  11. Because it would be a pretty cool thing for Skinsie to do.
  12. But his resume will show he is leaving the team in good shape, taking Florida to 7 games in the SC finals I would not be upset at all if Terry hired him to run things.
  13. Come on Skinner. Where is your good teammate, wants to be here, good for the room, funny guy between two stalls comradery? Take one for the team and waive the clause, open it up to a few teams.
  14. You might think he has a trade lined for his 1, but the team also wanted a 2, so he went out and got another 2 by trading down a few spots. You might think that but it is hard to tell with Adams.
  15. It all goes back to his qualifications. He has done a few good things, very few for 4 years, but it seems like other GMs apparently do not take him seriously.
  16. How is he not too embarrassed to even say that? These comments are becoming his theme.
  17. Package Skinner (with some salary retention) with whatever combination of players/picks/prospects for Brady. Change the complexion of the team a bit.
  18. This article actually put me in a sour mood to start my day. Lance is spinning this into something positive I guess. Until Adams makes the necessary moves to make the team better he gets nothing from me. Reading Adams talk about building from the back, goaltending, defense, yada yada. It is year 5 and he just comes up with this? The oldest cliché in the GM handbook.
  19. What? Rick Martin would block the prospects. Oh wait, we are not doing that anymore, that's right.
  20. It took guts, conviction, honesty, and knowledge by Zito and his staff to change a Presidents Trophy team so drastically. Many would have stayed the course, it was the safest thing to do. Instead he brings in a new and proven coach, makes major trades to bring in Tkachuk and Reinhart, and of course knowing which players to keep - all of it worked eventually. To think that 2 years ago Florida barely beat out the Sabres for the last seed and they ended up peaking and getting to the finals. Zito has Rick Dudley on his staff as a senior advisor. It takes great leadership and a small ego to hire and listen to advisors. I wonder how much Duds contributed and I am happy he is going to get his name on a Cup.
  21. Sure, Cozens may someday be worth the contract but he had a "career year" for what was a 3 year career. Only time will tell.
