Just turned the game on… Are there ANY Sabres fans in attendance? Holy crap!!

I didn't get a chance to watch the whole game, but what I did see was a lot of 2 on 1's, 2 on 0's and sloppy, sloppy play. I only saw one Kraken goal but from what I witnessed, there could've easily been another 4 or 5...They were a mess. Bryson in particular lost every single board battle. Now that we some good puck movers I think another stay at home d-man is needed, especially if Samuelsson is out longer than expected. We have enough assets to pry someone away.

If last night was any indication, KA needs to get on the horn pretty quick. The defensive zone play was beyond abysmal. Once we start playing all those quality teams in our conference, this could get ugly fast. Can't let it get away from us this early in the season, especially when they finally have the potential to contend for a playoff spot.

While he is young and still relatively inexperienced, I concur. He can look so good in spurts but the majority of his play since he's been here has been consistently inconsistent. The only consistency is that he is turnover machine and his play in his own zone is horrendous. I remember hearing comparisons to Nik Lidstrom when he first came out, but he is not even on the same planet and I'm not sure additional experience will fix him.

I believe the last time we traded for an injured player was Evander Kane. Hopefully the return doesn't resemble that mistake!

Basically three pieces in return for Eichel... Getting Vegas' 2nd will be a bottom of the round pick and the pick we give them will be top of the round pick, so ultimately those two picks are a wash. Still like to think we could've gotten more for him but all in all, not an awful trade... for now!!
