  1. At least I no longer need to be worried about getting the flu virus.... Whew. That was close!
  2. Man I hate the NHL and their f'd up desire to turn an expansion team into a playoff team immediately. This team is already 10-15 wins better than us. And this is before all the trades and draft picks are announced.
  3. My initial reaction to watching video on Power was that he is a left handed Tyler Myers. A lot of the same traits
  4. With how crazy this offseason could be for us, I could see 5-6 different potential #1 overall candidates. Given the nature of development of a D-man at the NHL level, Power could take longer to develop than what this franchise needs. That swung my vote to Beniers, but I wouldn't be upset if they went with Eklund or Guenther. I could potentially see the two Boston boys (Eichel & Beniers) being good for each other, or could see all of Eichel's negatives rubbing off on Beniers. But, if Eichel does happen to get moved (which would likely result in a Reinhart moving as well), then may as well go with Power since it would take yet another lifetime of rebuilding. They really, really, really, need to hit a home run this summer on all fronts moving forward.
  5. I miss Buffalo food in general, but especially pizza. If La Nova's or Picasso's could deliver to Maryland, I would be in heaven. Pizza and wings down here are simply disgusting!!
  6. There is no quick fix to this sh$t show. The core of this team is compromised and accustomed to nothing but losing. Whether it be their own fault, management's fault, coaching, Pegula's, etc..., it doesn't matter. There's no getting their collective heads in the proper place moving forward. As much I would like to see these guys stick around (Eichel, Reinhart, Risto), it's time to move on and f'ing start over yet again. Blow it all up. At least my kids & grandkids may eventually see a playoff run. Doubtful I will ever see it again!!
  7. I'm sure wherever he is, he's laughing his a$$ off at the state of this franchise.
  8. Regardless... Hall wasn't going to fetch much. Obviously everyone wanted a 1st but it wasn't happening.
  9. If they didn't trade Hall at the deadline, what were the chances that he would've re-signed this summer? And would we have wanted him to? His work ethic and productivity THIS year contributed to his low trade value. I'll miss Lazar, but he was a 4th liner or extra forward on the worst team in the league. So he was basically a throw in to the deal. I haven't seen much of Bjork to know if he is worth anything, but he is playing good minutes on a good Boston team as a bottom six guy. So who know what he does here. If KA were to get a 1st round pick for Hall, it would've been a low 1st rounder which basically equates to a 2nd rounder in the NHL. I think it was a wet dream to think that he would've received a 1st rounder for Hall at $8 Mill...
  10. It certainly wouldn't hurt anything. Seems to me this team is a tad short on able bodied NHL humans, regardless of position. If he works out, then great. Maybe they have someone that would fit in their future plans. If not, waive him or trade him for a bag of pucks. At this point we need to leave no stone unturned when trying to forge a competent roster moving forward. And with the way this clown show organization drafts, there's a better probability of finding a diamond in the rough from the waiver wire.
  11. At this point, I'd be pissed if they didn't at least try to take a chance on him.
  12. Gostisbehere is only a -1 on a bad defensive team. I remember seeing a bunch of folks on here wanting us to trade for Phillipe Myers. He's a -13 on the same team. Didn't Gostisbehere have a major knee problem a year or two ago? Maybe that's affecting his play? Dunno... Wouldn't hurt to take a chance on him. Hell, put him on the wing.
  13. And actually, if I account for the fact they only have 4 regulation wins, this is what it would look like. Very doable to have the fewest regulation wins ever!!
  14. I've been keeping track of this for the last few weeks. Not surprisingly, if you push numbers around, we keep creeping up this dubious list. Obviously, a lot could change over the course of an 84 game schedule, but this is what it would look like if the season were to end today. A couple games with New Jersey on the horizon, so we could work our way off this list completely with an actual win, or heaven forbid, two!! Even after the two games against Jersey, it is quite possible that we don't win again this season. Don't think we'd get close to the Capitals of 74-75', but we could easily approach Ottawa and San Jose of 92-93'. The majority of the teams on this list are expansion teams, so even with our layoff, Covid, injuries, 8 team super division, there's no way a team with this much talent should be anywhere near a list of first year squads. We may not have the worst team of all-time, but absolutely, without question, the most disappointing!
  15. Agreed... I'd love to see percentages of how many 3rd's and/or 5th's actually amount to anything. It's quite common in the NFL for mid round picks to turn into All-Pro's but less likely in the NHL I would think.
  16. Lol... Just saw the thread about dis!! Thought I was losing my mind with all dis!!
  17. And maybe I've missed dis, but why is dis changed to dis and dat to dat in all these posts!?!? 😃
  18. With the way dis team drafts, a 3rd & 5th may as well be future considerations
