  1. It is all fascinating. And Aud is correct, Grusch's testimony has not yet been corroborated, but he did just testify in the past 30 days. We just found the testimony fascinating.
  2. I haven't said anything on our hockey site about this yet. I've been following closely, and have most my adult life, statements from individuals that made allegations and/or claims on UAP's/UFO's. A multitude of events coming forward now, including released footage from us military aircraft is really fascinating. The fact the Pentagon is even allowing such footage out there is a hurdle that appears to have been overcome. But David Grusch's testimony to the congressional committee is very disturbing to say the least. My wife and I watched it live, others in my circle, family, friends, work peers, also watched it in its enterity either live or recorded. None of us were really surprised by the testimony, but one thing sent chills down everyone we chatted with about it, the following question and answer. Congressman Tim Burchett asked Mr Grusch if anyone had been “murdered” as part of government efforts to cover-up information. “I have to be careful asking [sic] that question,” he responded, citing an investigation into whether or not he was the subject of retaliatory action for whistleblowing. “I directed people with that knowledge to the appropriate authorities.” Murder is murder, I don't care what the subject matter is. Murder to hide a program involving US tax dollars in a cover up, is Murder 1, punishable by death. A few of us spoke on it at length this evening. We all agreed. We also viewed Micheal Herrera's interview, as well as the confirming of the Bob Lazar story from the early 90's. It appears the largest event in human history is unfolding, the confirmation that not only that UAP/UFO's exist, non human biologicals came with some of the craft recovered, but also that our government may have murdered US Citizens in an effort to hide the program and the private corporations involved, and the most disturbing fact, our citizens barely bat an eyelash about any of this.
  3. Wow! That's a big increase. I think Terry, the county and Albany feel like I do when I go to buy a can of Campbell's Chicken Noodle now. So you brought 3 dollars, you better get out that other 2 bucks or...."No Soup for You"!!!!
  4. Truth! I stopped in tops Sunday, went to check out, there was like 10 ft between people. There were 3 people waiting for self check out, I was 4, I was like 6 to 8 feet up an aisle, like.....wtf? Get it together folks.
  5. Soooo, who's opening the "What will Adam's wear on opening night" thread? :😱 😈
  6. Wiscoy Falls, Alleghany County. A quiet small hamlet approx. 7 mi. East of Filmore, NY. 2 hr drive. Access to Wiscoy Falls, Wiscoy creek and the Genesee River. There are rentals in the area for overnight/multiple day stays, or, go for a day. Pet friendly. Simply a hidden gem.
  7. I have nothing bad to say about KA. Hell, he even came in a full 4 minutes ahead of schedule on my door dash order, the pizza pucks were still hot.
  8. I like KA, he has a plan, he has not deviated from the plan. The plan has improved the team. Don't alter the plan, the plan has washed away all that was, it has improved what is, it has set up the team nicely in to the foreseeable future. Be the plan.
  9. They are past their prime, but Crosby, Malkin, Letang are still dangerous. Now add in this past decades Norris champion and they got better. Playoff noise making better? I don't know, but adding Karlson isn't a negative imo.
  10. I thought Rutta was the Pens replacement for Letang? No?
  11. Meh, he's not what he used to be.
  12. Due to the 4th of July holiday and vacation time for some TAT's all of my interviews went to the 3rd stage of the process to 8 days ago Friday. This past week I have received 7 offer letters out of 9 of the employers I went to the 3rd interview stage with. I'll make my decision this weekend and hopefully all goes well. It's really a labor sellers market out there in my career field right now.
  13. I concur with everything you said. LG, the people I work for/with, my family members, acquaintances/friends, and myself.....we aren't rocket scientists, as the old adage says. We are people from different backgrounds, different generations, yet, every one of them that I know in my life on those mentioned, over came the cost without loans. That was the intent of my response on the subject.
  14. I don't agree with this as a foundational statement. I didn't start electrical work until I was 26, i spent 4 yrs in the svc and an additional 6 yrs exploring different jobs, does that mean I am 10 yrs behind on my retirement?
  15. I don't take it the wrong way. The intent was to give insight as to what I've seem in personal experience. Constructive criticism is always welcomed. I'm merely human after all. As to the subject matter. My mentors journey to a Masters wasn't 25 years ago, he shared in the rising cost until completion a mere 7 years ago. And yes, I fully recognize costs have become ridiculous, but that's the point of why I even responded to begin with, even with those costs more than several in my life, in recent years, have found a way. There is a conversation to be had on costs and the effects it is having on the ability to afford higher education, but it wasn't my intent to agree or disagree on that, merely show that it can be done. As a matter of fact, one of the first things in my first comment was "patience, time invested" as a precurser to what I've seen others do.
  16. We are going to need massive mathematicians. My daughter's and I sat and watched the UAP whistle-blower testimony before congress. 25 and 19 yrs old and they were amazed at the testimony. The future generations are going to be embarking on many great science and mathematical journey's. I was very happy to see my kids fascinated on the subject matter, even if they weren't directly involved in the fields of study for such.
  17. Yes, this is how friends, family, peers in my life have done it.
  18. Ya, the wife and i saw the costs. It's her goal. I'll post when she graduates, it may be about the time Tage retires, hard to say really. It's on her to get it done if it's her goal is really all I got. So far, for the GER's, she's debt free.
  19. For the first comment, I pointed out at the start my mentor did it, and it took him years. My family is hardly wealthy, loans aren't necessarily an option. I stated it can be done, and it can, unless your stating factually it can't, even though I've factually seen it done, through other avenues than debt. Is that what you are implying here? As for my youngest, she's grounded in reality, her mother and I taught her that. She's fully aware she won't see her degree, which is 6 yr minimum, until she's 30 to 32 yrs old. We sit down with our kids, speak with them, listen to them, and attempt to give options for their goals. Yes; she pays for her own vehicle maintenance, she bought her own car at 17. While I didn't agree with the vehicle choice, it was hers to make so I respect that.
  20. She does door dash and works 4 days for 24 hrs at a local day care.
  21. Well, they weren't my choices, I merely was a friend/peer/parent as they were made. I am baffled as to how you think my merely stating I've witnessed it being done is moral superiority. But, to each their own o guess.
  22. If a simpleton such as myself can find away, others can as well. I happen to believe in the statement "where there's a will, there's a way". And to suggest my character is such that I enjoy others putting themselves in situations that they were not forced in to is pure gaslighting of the subject matter. My smirk isn't that they are in that position, my smirk is that I have witnessed 1st hand the sacrifices others have made around me to avoid the debt to begin with. It is possible, it's merely a matter of what the individual is willing to sacrifice. In each case I've seen, time via patience, sweat, toil and determination. To suggest I, in some way, take satisfaction in decisions of others that put them in a bad position is completely preposterous, otherwise why would I have guided my children to avoid such?
  23. I have 4 children, 2 boys, ages 31, 29, 2 girls, ages 25, 19. 31 followed me in trade. 29 has a 2 yr degree via GI Bill, like myself. 25 is a self made entrepreneur locally, like her mother, 19 is currently 1 yr in to her quest to become a physicians assistant (PA). I know many of their friends, and your correct, I don't know their school debt status, at least, hardly any. I know of 2, maybe 3? That did what my kids did and pay as they went. I do think student loan debt scares them? I know it scares my youngest, the 2 girls.
  24. I cannot disagree with you, merely speak on what I've seen around me. My Nephew, age 29, worked his way through Buf State, started at 18, got his 4 year degree in education at 28 yrs old. Worked various jobs paying his way. I'm not saying things haven't changed, I am saying it is possible. So far what I've noticed is the "time line" to achieve a degree without the loans can be lengthy, but possible.
