2 are on the couch in the family room, 1 is on the recliner and the last one is in her room since she’s apparently never moving out. All are here for the holiday’s, even after I put the fake house number magnet up on the mailbox, for 4 kids that grew up never seeming to know who did the frowned upon deeds in the house while mom and pop were at work or gone for a weekend, they somehow miraculously remember instinctively where the house is 🤔 All 4 of them, ages 35 on down to 21 are now of age, all 4 of them with their significant others, so they decided to do what mom and pop did in our youth, they drank all of my beer and half of my booze cabinet Wednesday night and yesterday. I now fully understand what my dad was so bitter about all those years.

Reading through the thread, I fully understand the Buffalo sports franchises customers frustration. Many of us are well old enough to remember the “almost did it”, “fell just short in spectacular, sometimes in major sports leagues historic events fashion”. The decades of wondering in the bottom of mediocrity or out right at the bottom of the barrel has shortened some patience. The French Connection Stanley Cup run, 4 Super Bowl losses in a row, the no infamous no goal event, the Drury/Breire run, and now, the KC stonewall of recent. Throw in that aforementioned years in the darkness and it rips the heart out of many, thick skins others, but ultimately, it is our bond as lifetime long Buffalo sports fans. In short, it is our Opus, our glue that binds. Pegula is going through something with his family I wish on no one. And while I am critical of his handling of the hockey club, I recognize it is only a game, and real life events supersede that. I support Terry, and I want him and his family to share in any success these sports franchises can achieve. I thank him for keeping the teams in Buffalo. With all of that said, to Terry, the Pegula family, if this ever gets read to them or even just mentioned, step aside Terry, hire an experienced hockey guy, staff, let them build the team. Give us the chance to share that moment with you when success comes.

While this is true, UPL got 0 help from those in front of him on nearly all of those chances. The 5 hole goal is where I can point to UPL, but this teams players constantly pull the puck toward their own end then give it away or have it taken away by being out hustled, it has achieved such regularity that its no longer a religious act analogy, these players, or at least some of them, do it so often that I now refer to them as the own zone turnover machine religious zealots. it boggles the mind how often they do it, just maddening.

Long before the puck entered the zone the Sabres had a chance to send it in to the Pens zone, they attempted a cross ice pass instead. We can go all day like this. That 2nd goal was on the players in front of UPL.

WTF was that? Why do they consistently fail to understand that getting the puck out of the zone is priority #1? They had possession, then literally retreated back in to their zone and lost control, why? What is with these guys?

So, I woke up at 12:37am, in the Puumba section of the Animal Kingdom lodging at Disney, flight left at 8am, landed back in Buffalo at 10:19am. 6 glorious days of Disney, the weather perfect each day. I was able to see the highlights of the missed games, follow their exploits through you all. I miss the sun, the 80 degrees no humidity and the pure bliss a vacation brings. But Its game night, time to get back to business with our beloved Sabres. They will win tonight, if for no other reason than I’m already 3 beers in to a Canadian 12 pack I picked up on the way home……..ya, I have faith…..no……hope……no, no, not those, I have the determination in my mind that this team will play like a herd of stampeding Buffalo tonight….. Penguins 2 Sabres 6 So let it be written, So let it be done… GO SABRES!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have a real problem historically doing that. It sounds great, until it isn’t.

I wish it were only in our heads. The facts of the Crosby era vs the Sabres and Sabres players in matches outside of the NHL (see “The Golden Goal” Crosby snipes Miller for Gold event) are very telling. The 1st Winter Classic, so many regular season games it’s jaw dropping….etc, etc. As I said, I wish it were merely bad dreams.

There is no debating the turn of events leading to the Bills being a contender under Beane and McDermott. To be frustrated with events these past 5 seasons is perfectly reasonable, were fans and we wear our team passion on our sleeves proudly. But putting the humorous comments aside, those that are raging, showing pure anger, I implore you to show strong support for the Bills leadership team. Be critical, but do so productively. After all, they are a part of the team that has brought us to contender status. GO BILLS!!!

Just put a tarp over Rich, throw up some new Jumbotrons around the stadium, and vu la, you have the largest NHL arena in the league. Innovation!!! 😂

I give Pegula credit for one thing, a new stadium. Of course, you need to win at the casino or the lottery to afford a seat, but hey, we’ll always have a crumbling Rich Stadium as a fall back plan 😆
