  1. Yea, I see a bromance forming there, at least on ice. Are we looking at a bicycle made for 3? I wonder how Sam feels about all of this...……….
  2. He'd turn 35 in May of the final 8th year. I don't know, if he wants 8, and he's only 35 at the end of that 8, I give it to him personally. A bit of risk? Sure, but minimally larger than 7 years. If he's willing to ink 7 - 8 for 8 yrs, I would have no problem, as of today, inking that deal.
  3. I see conversations on term and length, IF, this Jack/Jeff relationship continues to blossom and bare fruit. I also see sensible talk on age, if a new contract, say 7 x 7 were offered, he would turn 34 in May of the last year of that contract. Those are 4 to 5 prime years. And while his speed may, and it's only a may at this point, digress a bit, those hands and shot accuracy I very rich skill set to have in to your early to mid 30's. I just don't see a down side on the age issue barring injury, at this early point of the conversation. And yes, only 2 selections, because the question itself is based off of already existing results. I will redefine the thread let's say mid season and pre deadline.
  4. was over reading some Leafs forums this morning. I see on multiple sites reality is starting to set in on the ramifications of signing Tavares to that monster deal. Especially with Mathews and Marner due up for contracts next off season and the current situation with Nylander in Toronto. Starting to see a decent portion of their fans showing concerns on having 2 Centers 11 million or more each. Fearing they won't be able to successfully address D needs and net minder stability past Andersons time. They are finally coming off the off season high of signing Tavares and taking a real look at the challenges that signing has created beyond this season. Interesting really.
  5. Early season indications are Jeff Skinner, who will be 27 next May, is making a very strong case to be Jack's LW'er for the next 7 seasons after this one. He's strong in the hockey motor, speed, soft hand skills, sniper and puck control categories. He appears to be gelling with Jack very nicely. So I put a poll up to gauge where peoples early thoughts are on him, re-sign or deadline trade him. Re-signing him presents real intriguing situations since we have a plethora of RW'ers throughout the organization pipeline. If we go this route, would we have to move Okposo, especially given all the young talent in the pipeline? Personally, early on, I say re-sign, 7 x 7. I cannot believe we got this guy for the value we gave.
  6. someone got a slew foot there
  7. GIRGS! You gotta bury that man.
  8. Skinner's 1st of 2...…. man, I'm on fire lol
  9. Was Miller's Head Cocked?
  10. Mitts, your killing our PP for god's sake. Stop hanging with Okposo.
  11. another post
  12. man, just bad luck...…..come on boys keep the pressure on.
  13. I've seen 3 open net chances now. They have to bury those golden opportunities.
  14. Hutton looking good tonight.
  15. The Sabres are going to win. Just to much drive in their collective game tonight. Skinner nets 2, Jack 1 or 2 and Okposo mis-handles a breakaway that has Miller in a "WTF is he doing head cocked to one side like a confused dog" mode and dribbles in.
  16. Okposo, come on man.
  17. right off the corner. Skinner is going to net a couple tonight.
  18. That sucked.
  19. I disagree this game. They are looking disciplined, a lot of soft touches as opposed to whipping it around and hoping for the best or just throwing it toward the middle. I'm actually very hopeful we've turned the corner on those brutal years of horrible D.
  20. SIGN SKINNER!!!! Jack has 1 of his wingers, sign that man!!!
  21. THAT'S THE TEAM I WANT TO SEE!!!!! Control that puck BOYS!!!!
  22. Miller in net, were assured of 1 goal at least...…. Go Sabres!!!
  23. Ullmark. He is fully ready IMO. He just exudes calm and confidence when he's out there.
  24. The Bills are in complete shambles right now. A complete and utter disaster. Of course, I said the same thing about the Sabres, but in this case, I'm pretty confident in my assessment. It's going to be a long 3 to 5 years from this season. The defense will age and change while the offense is being built. But my confidence in the Pegula's to find the right people to manage and run that Bills team is, shall we say, skeptical, truly.
