  1. The Vegas GM himself is quoted as saying such. I mean, really, sometimes it is what it is. Which brings me back full circle to what I alluded to in wishing the Sabres organization did the same.
  2. As I posted, "higher standards". It's pretty self explanatory, management expected more.
  3. And oh look, it wasn't good enough....... So yea, unless you have something more than speculative "what if's", it's been reported as performance based..........So...... Not according to a reported reason for his release.
  4. I happen to like this. Hold high standards. It's a ***** or get off the pot environment 8n Vegas, and it appears to work. To bad the Sabres organization doesn't have such an atmosphere.
  5. I disagree on Adams coverage, he's as equal as Hyde, and he has better hands imo. But I do agree his closure on angles to the ball carrier make him a better tackler. Just looking to upgrade without having to expend a great deal is all. As for Bell/Singletary, I don't view Singletary as successful as Bell at gap explosiveness, although, I will concede Bell should be more consistent then he is at it. In any event, just some ramblings after looking at where minor upgrades can be potentially made is all.
  6. If I'm Beane, I'm going hard after Jamal Adams SS, NYJ and, if it's possible, get Bell out of them as well. But Hyde's coming in to his final contract year, he can be moved for a recoup piece or pick. But getting Adams to slide in, a younger, stronger, better player at SS without having to use a draft pick next year, yea, I'm all for that.
  7. I believe I posted awhile back that this team needed BOOBS! And on this night, you all responded accordingly, and the cleavage opened up, the sun shined, Jack scored and all was right with the world! BOOBS will do that...…………. ?
  8. But he didn't, and that's a problem...…………… ?
  9. Once again, the Sabres PP shows it is the kryptonite to the Vegas PK...………..
  10. My significant other loves him because Ullmark rhymes with Hallmark and every game he plays she fully expects him to save the beautiful cabin in the woods that he was thinking about selling...…..
  11. The Sabres PP has finally met it's match, the Vegas PK ?
  12. WTF is Ray talking about? Risto had the puck, that was a clean hit.
  13. Shhhhh, don't tell them that lol
  14. That trade will go down in the annals of NHL history as one of the top 3 worst imho. What a straight out cluster ***** this organization is. Just, WOW.
  15. Then we will give them 2 bottom 6 forwards...…. Evan Rodrigues $2 mil AAV RFA and Connor Sheary $3 mil AAV UFA. Quick, to the Bat Phone...…………………. All kidding aside, this is exactly what is needed here in Buffalo imo as well.
  16. If they really want Okposo, I guess we could part with him. ?
  17. Not warranted in my most humbled opinion. None of his punches were equivalent to brain traumatizing, none of his actions were outside the bounds of allowable of a game misconduct and 5 for fighting, again, in my most humbled opinion.
  18. I wouldn't. Pegula doesn't strike me as a 90's guy. He's entrenched in the 70's I suspect. I don't believe Patty will be back, and, as you alluded to, the patch up isn't a reality. Sad? Yea, it is. Following my Gulf War stint, Patty and Molginy ignited that Sabres passion I had put aside for 4 years. It was something special to watch the replays, I never got to see them live, which just tore at my hockey heart. I got to see the French Connection, Gare, the 80's, and, after 96, Dom, Drury/Briere, up to the current day. It was just that magic between those 2 I never got to see. So yea, it is sad, truly.
  19. You got that right. I didn't like the Kane trade, the Gorges trade, the Vanek trade and that horrible McNabb / Fasching trade in the past 5 years or so. The ROR trade was pretty square up, ROR was a true worthy positional acquisition by Murray. Sounds like Pegula's unwillingness to pay the bonus made it a net negative on losing him. But yea, losing all those assets hurt, combined, with what you point out often, inability to draft well. I agree with your overall view of the team by the way, hope that doesn't surprise you.
  20. Ummm, I'm going to say yes, he should. You want to play "old school" heavy hockey, then be prepared to answer the bell when you do so. Players aren't robots, they have emotion, and going after Kassian with the heavy physical checks Tkachuk threw, yea, he's going to have to man up and answer the bell for that, and Kassian made sure he did, rightfully so.
  21. I'd like this kid to come back for our bottom 6.
