Pretty much every narrative about Eichel being spoiled was confirmed. He initiated conversation to leave when KA started, it wasn’t KA’s choice. The whole charade about surgery had nothing to do with Eichel wanting out, he would’ve been locker room cancer even if he had ADR and was healthy again.

I’m in the belief the boost from these players is what’s needed to get into the playoffs. Our goaltender is too suspect and the unprepared teams have warmed up.

With Thompson switching to center, I like how we have four relatively young centers and none of them are expected to be gifted any particular line. There’s an interchangeable spine of: Mittelstadt Thompson Cozens Krebs (Eakin) that can move up or down based on merit. leaves us with wing pairings to shift around: Oloffson-Asplund Skinner-Tuch/Hinostroza Girgensons-Okposo Caggiula-Bjork and in the minors aching for promotion: Peterka-Quinn

Thompson has played well. Interesting nix Oloffson-Thompson-Asplund Skinner-Mittelstadt-Tuch Girgensons-Krebs-Okposo Caggiula-Cozens-Hinostroza Eakin I think Krebs needs a year or two before getting top-6

The risk for Eichel is negated by the risk Tuch doesn’t stay healthy either.
