Sure but who? Who fits the age group? Chychyrun knows the Pegulas. There’s more behind him than hit fits the hole.

Did you watch the recent 5 game slide? He stuck out like a sore thumb. It wasn’t working.
-
You have to put him in the top 4 and try to play the third pair less than 10 minutes per night. The drop off is just too large.

Awful contract always was. But the GM was hand tied at the time and if he let Skinner go he was a goner. One of those bad signings GMs will make to save their neck. Skinner is just one of those guys who will contribute to a winner, but is a lightning rod for blame when things go sour. And rightfully so, his unique play style is just difficult to mesh with. I was hoping he could make a third line out of nothing but he never did.

Rangers mismanaging assets. Happy to see. They’ll be better in the short run but they’re handicapping their future.

Fix the culture and belief? Absolutely Talent assessors and Xs and Os in the moment? Subpar. And years of it is catching up to them now. Allen has covered for MANY faults

Cozens Contract Extension Announced, 7 years 7.1 Million AAV

Paying him early, but even if he underwhelms offensively he’s a solid player a team is going to be happy to have. Adam’s needs the assurance going forward navigating all the new contracts. Way to go getting all the kids to buy in cheap. Toronto probably thought they’d get that treatment for being Toronto and look how all their contract negotiations went. -
Their own social media lol

show up 4 hours before the game and follow a routine to prepare as a team instead of playing video games and crap up until on ice warm ups

Hall was abysmal here and serviceable in Boston immediately…

Rasmus Dahlin is replacing Tage Thompson in the All Star Game

Let him play forward! -
The coach can fix it by mandating certain routines to overcome any youthful immaturity. But he isn’t.

ESPN cutting the local pre and post game out of the coverage really takes a huge part of watching hockey away for me. You lose the sense of community when you do that. plus these national broadcasts are awful.

Absolute embarrassment. Slow start at home. Useless power play. Both things coaching has a lot of control over and we can’t get it right. What a joke -

What a disaster. Looks like two teams in different leagues -
Oh thank god

Usually no. There’s teams who have overpaid goalies who have regressed on the market and there’s teams that have a couple of blue chips they hold onto dearly. Starting goalies is usually all handled in off season. Some back ups might make a move.

Nathan Mackinnon tailors his workouts to peak in the spring. Tweeners have to peak out in training camp. Yes 100% this is true, players plan all around it.

That’s not what’s been said.

Interpretation: 1. Any deadline acquisition needs to fit the age of the group and can’t take opportunities away from the kids developing. A vet 3C rental isn’t in the cards. 2. Levi is a superfreak. He’s hesitant to commit to any goalie that would get in his way, though they aren’t rushing him either. 3. Portillo is gone Its clear they value playing kids in the NHL over wins. Mid-season you could say it’s paid off based on the improvement by many players. At the end of the season if we’re 3 points short of the playoffs there’s going to be games you can point back to. Either way, that’s part of the plan. There’s no debate whether this is what they were doing - sacrificing this season for growth. Not a bad thing unless they can’t keep all these players they sacrificed standings for under contract. Maybe it’s their ace in the hole to keep contract dollars low? This is why players hire agents tho. Interpretation: 1. Any deadline acquisition needs to fit the age of the group and can’t take opportunities away from the kids developing. People are identifying weak spots to upgrade. It may not be a gaping hole but is one if the weak spots that could be fortified.
-
I do not want to spend on WR. It might be a weakness but I believe Josh can make any jag receiver look good. Need to fix the o line. And d line. And coaching.

Bengals got jobbed. Some of the holds KCs oline had were egregious. Of course Mahomes looks like a hero when they aren’t penalized like any other team would.
