  1. Screw it maybe we should go after Meier, now we can't score or defend.
  2. Okposso offers nothing and he's on the PP, PK and giving up scores left and right.
  3. Middlestadt, Krebs and Okposso on the PP?
  4. So I found this article stating the cost of Luke Scenn is a 3rd round pick and another asset, if that's the case I'd love for the Sabres to explore this option. https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/bruins/nhl-rumors-latest-asking-price-luke-schenn-trade-revealed
  5. The refs were letting them play the whole entire game with barely any calls of significance and then you call that on the biggest play of the entire game that seals the game? It was a bush league call, you cannot call that and in a world where many think sports particularly the NFL is rigged why would you give them more ammunition and I'm not a fan of either team but the great game was once again trumped by the refs.
  6. The Bruins should be going for it, they're at the tail end of their Stanley Cup run so them spending multiple 1sts and prospects make sense. I think it's dangerous for a team like Buffalo to go after Chychrun not because he's a bad player but we have a few like him already in Dahlin/Power imo (what I mean by similar is more offensive minded) and I get that some have a problem with Schenn, he has bounced around a bit and his style is outdated but he's the swiss army knife all playoff teams try to get, a guy who leads the league in hits, always up there in blocked shots, plays on the penalty kill and when he's on the ice I don't see those 4-6 breakaways were constantly giving up but I don't think Schenn alone helps that. I think we need another veteran besides him and to be honest it doesn't have to be Schenn, I'd settle for 2 defensive defensemen but again I'd like them to be able to play in multiple scenarios. The Sabres are on the cusp but imagine we picked up Chychrun, spend 2 1sts and trade away say Kulich or Rosen and still miss the playoffs, how would that help in any way?
  7. I don't see us giving up picks and prospects for a guy like Chychrun or Meier, it just doesn't really make sense unless we get them at a discount which is never happening. This is just my opinion but I see the team staying put until the deadline and if they are very close then possibly getting a veteran Dman but other than that I just don't see a big splash it wouldn't make much sense, we don't have a lack of scoring so would Meier really elevate this team more? Is Chychrun so defensive minded that he would prevent games like today happening? My hope is that we pickup 1 or 2 veteran Dmen like Schenn, Murphy or someone of the like and we at worst use a few 2nd round picks to trade away because I don't see Schenn or Murphy being traded for 1st rounders but maybe I'm wrong.
  8. I mean who teaches these defensemen to just recklessly go into the offensive zone? Every game there are like 2-4 breakaways on us.
  9. Defense is absolutely a liability, not only our defensemen but you have a whole team standing around while they pepper UPL with shots, this is some terrible coaching.
  10. Please get us a solid veteran defensive defensemen GMKA....PLEASE, THANKS,YOU'RE WELCOME!
  11. UPL is playing solid once again.
  12. Did Lybushkin really get injured hitting someone? Oof.
  13. If you live in the Buffalo area there is great Skate, I had a Patrick Roy jersey done there in the late 90's. I'm not sure if they still do but that's where I got mine done.
  14. 7.99M come on GMKA lets get er done, stick with the 7+M theme you got this.
  15. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I have no problem with this but I have to strongly disagree. First off this is Bo Horvat's best season to date or will be he had 61 points in 2018-19, he's already 27 years old so his contract pays him until he's 35 years old. I like Horvat because he can lay the lumber and he's a leader but the Islanders definitely overpaid but they kind of had to after committing picks and prospects to him, he had all the leverage really. Cozens is only 21 years old, in his 2nd full year as the starter and will (if he stays healthy) surpass all of Horvat's previous seasons again in year 2 and this kid is only getting better, I love his physical game, I truly think the sky's the limit for this kid and he's not even close to his ceiling yet imo but again if you don't agree that's cool I'm just giving you my take and by even as close to next year he will most likely have outplayed that contract.
  16. He's having Dylan Cozens season from last year which is right where he needs to be, he's showing signs of his ability and hopefully will get much needed playoff experience as well. I hope the Sabres staff asks him to add some additional weight as well so he can absorb hits better, right now the only thing I don't like from his game is that he gets hit and immediately crumbles most of the time it seems so I'm hoping he adds some muscle in the offseason.
  17. I was watching the goalies a year prior to this draft like Brennan and Leinonen as much as possible because I knew we were going to take one high after the whole Portillo and Levi situation where they both returned to school. I believe I even said on draft day I hope they select Leinonen, he is a player who just eats up a bunch of net and the way he gets back to the other side of the net when he's out of position reminds me so much of Vasilevsky. I know he's struggling but most young goalies do at different points, I think this kid will be special.
  18. If we're going for it not only am I picking up Meier but I'm getting Luke Schenn from the Canucks as well. We would have 3 bruising defensemen in Schenn, Lybushkin and Samuelsson and 2 power forwards in the top 6 with Tuch and Meir and pray that Levi signs with us next season. Draft picks are nice but actually making it to the playoffs and a Stanley Cup should always be the goal. Since we had 3 1sts last season the thought process should be we have 2 seasons in a row where we can afford to spend our 1st on an established player if need be.
  19. I think it will be an interesting deadline for us, I think we'll deal Vinny Hinistroza. Also does this organization think Ryan Johnson/Erik Portillo will sign here? If not can we ship them out for picks or a player/players? I'd love a big, nasty defensemen like Luke Schenn (VAN), he's 32 but only counts 750K against the cap, blocks shots, kills penalties, Leads NHL in hits with 230 (Next best is 199) is a defensive defensemen and are the types of guys that Stanley Cup teams have. I'd also like to add a big winger and C in the bottom 6 like a Nick Ritchie (24th in hits) who is a 2.5M cap hit, the Coyotes certainly wont be asking for a 1st round pick for him. Just adding those 2 players could add another element to our team. Adding Schenn would replace Bryson and adding Ritchie would replace Asplund.
  20. So the announcers for the Wild said the gameplan for the Wild is to use their size because the Sabres are the least physical team in the entire NHL. I'd really like to change that stat as quickly as possible.
  21. Joker take a man not the air next time.
