Skinner by buyout? Because trade isn't happening.

Oh man I was all fired up after that 1, I so miss these days.

So now that we have Thompson 7.1M, Dylan Cozens 7.1M, Owen Power 8.35M, Mattias Samuelsson 4.35M, Jeff Skinner 9M, Alex Tuch 4.75M, Rasmus Dahlin 11M all on long term deals then where is there going to be enough room for all of UPL, Quinn, Peterka, Byram? Will there be an odd man out? Which 1 is it? Something has to give right? Do we buyout Skinners contract next season or the year after to make room?

I don't think some are understanding, I by no means think negatively of UPL but we've just rewarded TNT, Owen Power, Dylan Cozens, Mattias Samuelsson, Rasmus Dahlin, all of which took a step backwards this past season so all I'm saying is proceed with caution. Giving a long term extention here for half a season of production in a contract year can be just as detrimental if not worse than giving the above players deals imo. I'm not saying don't give UPL a contract but I think a 2-3 year (prove you can do this full time from here on out, 4.5M per season tops) deal is the way to go.

If that's your opinion that's fine but he was really bad and even hard to watch up until Jan, most here were looking to move on including myself. A bridge deal is definitely what he should get.

I just need more than a half of a seasons production, he was Comrie-bad before this resurgence.

3 years 13.5M or 4.5M AAV is my cap... Is he for real or was he just playing because of the pressure from Levi out of the gate? Will he play like this knowing Levi is out of the picture for now?

Didin't we just have Vets here? Okposo, Girgensons has been here forever, Eric Johnson, Dahlin has been here since 2018, Craig Anderson. What does Vets in their prime mean?

At some point even benching them for a few minutes may get the message across, the way Power is playing right now with no repricussions when he makes mistake after mistake just rewards failure imo. Same goes for any player that isn't getting the message across.

How about send down Owen Power to the AHL and bring up Ryan Johnson. Power is playing like an absolute bum this season.

Any of the top 3 seem like decent adds, all are over 6', the Russian is a pretty physical player from what I'm reading (Tsyplikov) and I think we need more of that.

Wayne Gretzky has 61 NHL records, I 100% would like to see this broken. I really like Ovechkins personality and just because he's Russian does not taint it for me at all but that's just my opinion although I think he breaks it with or without our consent.

Whoever is teaching team defense is terrible, Strome parked in front of UPL and nobody touching him whatsoever.

I wanted to hate it because of how everything has gone but it was really good, the Dylan Cozens bit and Benson at the end had me almost spitting my water out. I think it’s exactly what I needed because of how I currently feel about this team, gives me more likability towards them until they play the Capitals tonight lol.

LW Zemgus Girgensons- He tries but I think we need an upgrade here, I'm just not seeing anything worth keeping but both Adams and Granato rave about him. C Tyson Jost- He wouldn't be on most teams rosters and shouldn't be on ours. C Peyton Krebs- See above, he has average skill, average grit, average skater, we need better than average. LW Victor Olofsson- I don't despise him like alot do on here, he's a secondary goal scorer on a playoff team but when the goal scoring isnt there he doesnt offer much. D Jacob Bryson- Too small, he was much better than last season at just about everything but not good enough to be on this roster. D Henri Jokiharju- I know some on here praise how he's played this year but I see a very average player who on a playoff team would have a hard time making it or a bottom pairing but in no way would be a top 4 Dman. G Eric Comrie- He's an AHL level goalie and should not be on an NHL roster.
