Great pick for SJ. Eklund might end up being the best player in the draft.

In Powers defense he was excellent at the Worlds against pros. I know he is already better then Colin Miller

On my consensus board I have Power at one, but I would draft Clarke ahead of him as well. I'd probably put Hughes ahead of him also.

I project him as Miller’s partner next season playing 15 minutes per night in a very simple stay at home role.

I wonder if people are over looking Hagg as part of this deal. He never developed (or at least hasn’t) offensively as people thought in the 2013 draft, but I think he could become more like McCabe. He has size, can skate and with Girardi’s help I think he’ll become a solid stay at home D.

If we want to be harder to play against, Zach L'Heureux, who I have 30th on my board, would be a real interesting pick at 33 if available. He could easily become our Marchand.
