I could see the potential of us looking more like the 05-06 team… lots of speed and attack through 3 lines instead of depending on one or two superstars.

This reminds me of the Amerks season when Roy, Miller, Pommers, Vanek, and the gang played. I was working in Rochester at the time and what a team that was.

They are not going to rush anyone back this year. No need to.

I think realistically we can hope for a 20 to 25 goal scorer. If we could get that it would be a very good thing.

Do you remember the constant sulking? Maybe in the first year or two he dreamed we’d be good soon. But overall we all saw the sulking, the bad post game interviews, etc.

Nothing really surprising. We all knew for years if we didn’t get to the playoffs sooner, rather than later, Jack was going to request a trade. We were talking about it 3 years ago. Jack was never really happy playing for this organization and you can’t blame him. The mismanagement of this team was mindboggling on every level. He wasn’t going to waste his prime years here. Can you imagine being Jack on this team this year? Yikes. He’d be about 27-28 before we are competitive again IF we hit on picks and development. It’s a no brainer if I’m Jack.

Tage Thompson continues to look good at center. I could see him leading an effective 3rd line one day when we get real centers.

Well… time to get used to yet another coaches post game explanations of long and extended losing streaks.

It’s getting back to the point of being unwatchable yet another year. 5 L’s in a row with two high powered teams next. The Fight for Wright is back on.

Well that took longer than I expected.

Fun discussion but they are not giving up assets for an older player with the talent coming into the next two drafts.

And next week is no gimme. The Jets have a great d line and their offense has been scoring points. The book is out on how to beat the Bills. And we are even more banged up going into next week.

One problem is we constantly waste 1st downs. I’m not sure Daboll is as good as we think. The o line must be addressed this off season at all costs if we are going to compete for a super bowl. The hype train is over. We are underdogs now. That Steeler game was a bad omen of things to come for our o line.

Their D is just as good as ours and their O line is light years better. They would beat us by 20 if we played them right now. McDermott has a lot of work to do just to make the playoffs.

NE is the more complete team right now. Can’t see us being a Super Bowl team at this point. The o line is in shambles.

Cody Ford vs Wyatt Teller was the big mistake of the Beane regime so far. Need to upgrade to o line desperately.
