The only thing that gives me hope is Granato can develop youngsters and knows how to use the troops the right way. Other than that it’s clear this team is going super young. Be ready for more tough years.

Dahlin was simple to fix. But what impressed me was Mitts. That was an astonishing turn around. Tage looked good too. I’m not sure if R2 was Granato or he’s just that skilled and was a great pick up by JBot.

Too early to tell. But it seems possible if we trade away our stars, they might end up with a better top 6 than us and certainly goaltending.

I think you will see a very competitive, sound, and hardworking team with a lot of steady progress in the younger players next year shooting for .500, and then begin to really challenge for a playoff spot year 2.

I wanted Colorado vs Tampa. But Vegas got in the way then got worked by MTL? Such a good playoff year only to be let down in the finals watching the 4ft tall MTL forwards get tossed around and pile-drived by Hedman, Cernak, and Sergachev, and watch MTL take 100 shots from the point.... Meh...

I am actually quite hopeful. I spent a couple hours listening to Granato's hockey clinic and researched his resume. This man knows hockey. I'm not saying it is a guarantee but I am very hopeful. Something I have not been with any of the hires since Lindy left.

I wanted Gallant as well. But if they were going to get him it needed to happen the day they fired RK. I feel better about Granato than anyone hired since Lindy was fired.

Maybe, but Granato has a large body of work that has shown success and knows hockey quite well. I’ve been watching his coaching videos. Very impressive.
