  1. Hmmmm, I haven't got my email yet. Thanks for the post.
  2. Anytime the Sabres want to send that email, that would be great.....
  3. Really?! Not sure they're handling this well. I know they have to wait for everything to be rattified blah blah blah, a simple email saying they would get info to me asap would have been much better. Atleast outline how many tickets we have to buy. I keep checking my email but nothing yet.
  4. Only 4 eh? Nice, I thought I was going to have to buy 5 again.
  5. Man, still sucks that every team in the NHL except us and San Jose get to open on the Saturday....
  6. I wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of trades go down on Saturday/Sunday. I would think GM's around the league are talking now and prosposing deals that can only be finalized once the new CBA is ratified this weekend.
  7. I'lll believe it when I see it. Although I completely agree with you, all of these guys would have to clear waivers to go back to Rochester. I don't think any of them would clear is the problem and you're not going to sit 3 guys in the press box each night (can you even have 3 extra, can't remember the max number). Therefore we're going to have to make a trade.
  8. There has to be a major trade comming (which I already assumed as Brennan would never clear waivers) because we have wayyyyy to many d-men.
  9. Prohockey talk is saying five games..... http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/09/teams-will-have-five-games-to-make-decision-on-junior-players/
  10. I'm wondering if it's because he DIDN'T want to go after Luongo. His entire tenure he has stated that he despises the long term, front loaded contracts. Must say, he's stuck to his guns in his belief and never signed one during his tenure in T.O. Maybe some of the higher ups wanted Booby Loo but Burke held firm in his belief of not having those types of contracts on his books.
  11. So I guess if Grigorenko makes the team then Ott is the guy to slide over to wing?
  12. Not sure if this has been posted in another thread but TSN has their Season Preview's up. Here's the Sabres: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?id=79366
  13. I wonder how Mini-Pak tickets will work. Will there be a minimum of 5 games you have to re select?
  14. Welcome back all.....
  15. I know we're all getting tired of hearing about this lockout but sounds like talks are going well this afternoon. Possible disclaimer of interest tonight so the next few hours could be huge.
  16. The quick development of guys like Grigorenko, Armia and Brennan could really help us out. There was talk before this lockout that Armia and Grigorenko were likely to play out this season out of the NHL but would be a part of the 13/14 club. I'm not sure what the max rookie salary is but those could be decent players for us at a very affordable cap hit. We're going to need a few of those guys next season to stay under the cap and be competitive.
  17. Hats off to the Americans this morning. I woke up to find them up 1-0 and went back to bed after the 2nd. On a selfish note, Jake McCabe looks like the real deal out there. I remember when he was drafted the Sabres brass was saying they considered taking a forward in that spot but had rated McCabe as a first rounder and were surprised he had fallen so far. I know Girgenson sounds like he's off to a slow start but Grigorenko and McCabe seem like the real deal!
  18. Doesnt sound good. Real_ESPNLeBrun: Hearing both sides disappointed with lack of true movement in each other's new positions today... Key is to keep talking though..
  19. Happy New Years!
  20. What a F*$king idi*t
  21. aaronward_nhl: NHLPA Executive Board voted last night,to give players a vote to AUTHORIZE Exec Board to chose to proceed on Disclaimer of Interest #TSN
  22. Who knows what the backlash from this lockout will be. However, the vibe I'm getting from everyone I've talked to, good luck selling those tix in January.
  23. Interesting, I had not heard of that. Do you have a source? By both agreeing to a mediator does that mean that both sides feel their that close? Owners had declined having a mediator several times in the recent past.
  24. I can't even get upset with your point because it's atleast a hockey discussion that doesn't involve this unreal lockout. Really? You can't be serious.
  25. I know I'd be doing the same thing and probably many hockey fans. That's why it feels so good to publically (tweets, articles etc.) throw the two idiots under the bus.
