Won't somebody think of the quinoa????

I've heard Nylander plays both wings and is just as effective on his off wing. Anyone know where he played in Miss?
-
Those two will be expected to drive that top line this year. I think their line put up the most points even last tourney. Will be fun to watch this Christmas.

Ya I'm not so sure about Montreal either. Longer term I think the Subban for Weber trade was dumb. Also, we've seen what quality of team Montreal is if Price goes down. But if healthy, they may be our toughest competition for that 3rd divisional spot this year.

This.

Atleast this whole saga somewhat breaks up the dog days of summer. Sabres news will be few and far between for the next 2 months now but atleast we get some entertainment half way through this year. Well played.

I don't think I would like to see this. I love Nylander skill and potential but he needs a Sam Reinhart OHL/AHL year to build up some muscle to survive in the NHL IMO. Only a prospect game but what I saw there and what I saw of him in the O, I don't think he's physically there to be thrown in the NHL. Longer term (read a year or two from now) I think he's going to be a hell of a top 6 skill forward.

Ya I like Nelson but would prefer he spend a year in the AHL playing bigger minutes then a potential 7th D. Not sure Franson's status TBO. That's even more frightening. I know Fowler is available but I would rather add an equivalent RHD at this point in time.
-
Is anyone else hoping we can move a forward (ie Girgensons type player) for a RHD rather than a LHD? Now that Kulikov is in the fold, I'm actually ok with our left side. Cody Franson is a pylon and he's slated as a probable starter on the right. Throw in Bogo missing 20 games which will most likely happen and all of a sudden we look pretty weak on the Right side IMO.
-
Damn..... Oh TM, never change.
-
We taking bets here? I'm going with Team Gray wins.
-
Replace Kane (who probably has very little trade value right now) with Girgensons and I agree with you.

Sounds like bag skate day today. Hopefully they take it a bit easier tomorrow so they're good to go on Saturday. If they're charging an arm and a leg for this scrimmage, atleast don't have the guys worn out for it.

My coworker has been suffering panic attacks for a few months now due to family and some job stresses. Her doctor finally said you need to take a leave from work and shut it down for awhile. She's gone for the next 6 weeks. It's a unionized government job so that's an option. I'm guessing you can't just 'shut it down' for 6 weeks. Sorry to hear, she's been a different person entirely over the past 6 months while having these panic attacks. My complaint: now I have to cover mine and her job for the next month and a half. Guess I'm not taking many summer holidays.....

Oh man I can just imagine. Guys like Pegula with the bucks they have. No expense spared I would hazard to guess.

Give me a sec.... They ran out of Grey Goose. Now they will have to dip into the single malt scotch supply.

This is probably fair but the most I would want to go up to. Don't the bridge, shorter term deal usually cost less per year since it's all RFA years?
-
Based on some solid comps I think his market value is about 6 years at $5.25. So that works out to $31.5 over the life of the deal. If he were to sign at 8 years $7 mil then that works out to $56 mil over the life of the deal. So we're paying essentially $12.25 mil per year for the last two years. If we go 8 years at $6 mil per then it would be similar to 6 years at $5.25 and the last two at $8 mil per which seems very fair to me. After running this exercise I wouldn't really want to go higher then $6 mil per on an 8 year deal....

It's on boys and girls. It's on. Let's hope TM, DD and TP have brought their A game. http://www.wgr550.com/Sabres-Murray-and-Bylsma-leave-for-Boston/22804074

I do agree with the 8 years but wouldn't want to go near $7 mil per. I would do 8 years @ $6 mil. His market seems pretty defined at around 6 years at $5 to $5.5. So I wouldn't want to go an extra $1 to $1.5 mil every year of the deal to get two additional UFA years locked up.
-
I agree. Would rather go 8 years to lock him up. Standard out there seems to be 6 though based on similar deals this summer.
-
Interesting idea. That could be the case. For the security footage leak the Sabres seemed to be blaming a security guard for it. But the aftermath leak of the Sabres being furious and Black's departure soon thereafter does give some thought. The NHL.com article on the Sabrespace main page confirms Murray will be meeting with Vessey in Boston today. From what's been out there, I believe the first conversation may have been just over the phone. I believe this is the first face to face. Unless someone has something I've missed?

After the way the Babcock fiasco went with leaked security footage, this doesn't surprise me at all.
