    If Zegras is looking for a Cozens deal and Anaheim isn’t willing to do it I’d hope Adams is working on this.  Trade VO, UPL, Joker and/or a euro prospect (I really want Benson and Savoie to play the season together in juniors so that is why I’m not moving them) and a 1st to get Gibson, Zegras, and a 3rd and sign Zegras for 7x7.  He can play wing or center with Mitts on the 3rd line, or wing with Cozens on the 2nd line.  
     

    He’s an offensive, fast, creative player so I think he would do well moving to wing.  Plus we have a couch that does well with younger players so I think he can help him a lot in that move.

    Trade 3 players we don't want and an unnamed prospect? Anaheim will jump all over that one. Come on.

    Yeah,  nobody else has ever mentioned that before.  And I'm not behind the scene in saying it,  kinda out in the open. And really doesn't compare to racist comments,  but go on.

    I don't put anything past anyone these days.  I have no expectations that anyone isn't a jerk behind the scenes.

    I included the upcoming deals in my thoughts. Again, I said i understand, I'm not against it. It just seems odd, but not wrong.  I'm not looking to see any deal end really, I like all the players. To me, it's just unusual, but I might be wrong.

    Top ten sure, top five probably/maybe. I also realize that many of the people making a list like this watch him play more than I do, but when I watch him play, he is average defensively. Not awful, but he often leaves his position early to set himself up offensively.

    I certainly don't watch every game he plays but I watch every time he plays Buffalo, and a handful of other games plus the playoffs, and I just don't see a universal consensus number one guy in the league.

    You should try to watch him more. He's dynamic.  For his skill and age, he should be at the top of the list.

    His enthusiasm for the games during our recent drought was amazing. I don't know how he did it. I could barely watch at times, he never changed. A true professional.

    Living in Arizona, with the time difference, I often listened to games while driving home from work. While his dynamic goal calls were legendary, sometimes we lose sight of the fact that he was a tremendous play by play announcer, in the most traditional of terms. To be able to listen on radio and understand exactly what was happening in the game is underappreciated until you are in my situation, where you depended on Rick to let you know exactly what was happening in the game. I always thought he was great, but my appreciation for him grew immensely because of that skill.
