This is more thought experiment than anything but I presume Nashville is in full rebuild mode.  What would it take to get Soros and Stamkos out of Nashville if it is nothing other than picks and prospects?  Soros could mentor Levi.  I get Stamkos is 35 but gives veteran leadership and can play first or second line center.  Fills a couple of gaping holes.

What type of mentoring does Levi need and do you know if Soros is a good mentor?

Agreed. Was it defense or goaltending?  Not a loaded question. I know the analytics are out there but I’ve seen numbers indicating a goalie upgrade is necessary.

When Reimers played well for that stretch,  we won.  So I think goaltending was a significant issue,  but our skaters play very poorly in our zone,  so that's a problem too.

Reading comprehension isn't your thing.  You cherry picked (misrepresented), instead of naming the ones that didn't perform after leaving.  I get it, you don't like being called out for your nonsense.

Careful what you say,  you can get suspended for speaking negative about another poster...or maybe that's just me.

You really butchered this thread,  but good attempt to blame me when you are the clueless one.

I sarcastically said that players do well in Buffalo and then regress once traded... anyone who's payed any attention to this team over the years would understand.

Biggest issue with Robertson is he’s 1 year to UFA and he’s going to be looking for Dahlin money which we don’t exactly have

Even bigger issue is that he'd likely not want to sign an extension here, regardless of the money.

That's the underlying issue with any top player on the market.

Yeah, a period like that where you are beaten so soundly including every single puck battle is just a backbreaker for a franchise.

Florida is such an impressive team. They are essentially my second team and I really just want the Sabres to be built like them going forward.

Well, they had 4 former Sabres last season,  3 now.  So we had the right idea...

Yeah, what are the odds of scoring two empty net goals and not allowing one?  I wonder if that's ever happened in the playoffs?

Before this season, a team erased a 2 goal deficit in Game 7 only three times in the NHL's 100+ year history.  And this year it happens twice on consecutive nights.  Crazy.

The odds increase when the team in the lead keeps icing the puck trying to score.  The tying goal last night came after another icing.  I see this happen way too much.

  7. Just like in the 80's, the Oilers have such a powerful offensive game.

They put so much pressure on the opponent,  there's no let up.

The Kings are a very good team,  but they just can't keep up.  That was a very entertaining series.
