I don't know if a 100% blowup is necessary with this team - but a shot across the bow would be hard to argue against.

Head Coach - let him finish out the season. But behind the scenes, they should be strongly evaluating what they want out of a head coach - and create a list of people who fit their defined criteria.

Current Players - IMO, I believe Cozens is their best trade chip. I like him. He will do well. But I believe Mitts is better - more well rounded - and at a perfect age. If Skinner can be moved at a 50% retention - they should do it. So fun to watch him score goals - but he plays irresponsible hockey. He is not a good playing role model for the young players. EJ and OX will be gone next year - so be it. Devon - KEEP HIM IN ROCHESTER. Let him have a year, or two, where he is the leader and getting all the reps on a contending team. He is not going to get that in the NHL. Is he better than Comrie? Sure, by a little. But not enough so that he should skip the proper development stages.

Future Players - Vets are good to have. But they have to be Vets who can produce. OX and EJ are no different than Gionta. You can only lead so much if you cannot produce on the ice at a high level. This team needs 2-3 players - aged 29-33 - that can produce. A veteran mix of players that the young players can role model themselves to ON THE ICE. Probably have to overpay by 15-20% - but that is the cost until you become a proven winner.

GM - I would keep KA for one more offseason. But the management of Devon - and his inability to close on producing vets via free agency is a red flag. Not talking about 35 goal scorers - talking legit bottom 6 players that can slide into the top 6 when necessary. We are lacking that...

Which team would take on Cozens contract?  Can't see him being much of a trade chip.

I may hate this team worse then the tank team. How do you have no compete in your 20's?

when you have a multi year $7-$9 million per year contract without accomplishing much of anything.

Considering Tage is on pace for 20 goals he better worry about getting his butt in gear.

remember when fans would brag about what a great team deal his contract was?

for whatever 'leadership' Okposo brings/brought, simply put: it wasnt good enough.

You were the leader of a consistently inconsistent underachieving perennially losing team.

For that alone, along with his age, please go on to other pastures please lol.

Great guy Kyle Okposo, great guy (even tho i dont know him), wish nothing but the best for him. But its been long time to move on. Ive never been a fan of the initial trade to bring him here. Wasnt a fan of extending him. So yeah beyond time to move on imho. Please let this be his final year here. If he would like to go to a contender please do it. I'd like to say he deserves the opportunity if he can get it, but in the 7 years of opportunity here, idk what he deserves tbh. I just want it to be over with.

He was a free agent, we didn't trade for him.

  4. I'm out west and didn't bother to stay up to watch the 3rd period.  They were such a fun team to watch last season, they're incredibly boring and bad this season. No fun at all following them.

Maybe handing out mega deals like candy isn't the best strategy. When do we over pay Benson, the current flame?

It will also help him.  Look what playing in the Worlds did for JJP's confidence and game.  I hope we send everyone the teams want even Benson (yes I know that probably not happening).

I think it would be a big help if Benson plays. Scoring a goal or 2 might help get him going. I know he looks talented, but he can't score yet. Let's get him on a top line for a couple weeks and see what he can accomplish.

Great night by Robinson, Krebs and Okposo. Okposo’s lack of speed makes him the perfect trailer. I have to give him credit for going to the net lately. Robinson has been a good addition, Krebs seems energized.

RyJo needs to stay in the lineup. He and Power looked good together.

Clifton still has some boneheaded plays but he has contributed.

Cozens is just jinxed, once he breaks the seal, watch out.

Dinged up Dahlin is better than 98% of the Dmen in the NHL.

Levi is making the 3 headed monster obsolete. I wouldn’t give Comrie a start until they are mathematically out of it.

JJP’s speed was on display for his goal, he split the D like they were pylons.

Benson just does so many things right for an 18 year old, I hope he gets a few more points once Cozens starts scoring.

Even 1 point would be nice. Nothing in his last 6, 1 goal in last 10 games. Kinda wasting his first year ELC.

So the presumption is that because it hasn't improved the team that it's not helpful?  But, what if without the team was even worse?

Be serious. It's the only reason he's on the team.  And we can't get much worse than we are today.

Hey. UPL has been in the Sabres system 5+ years? and he’s just now showing like he’s getting it.  I think we expected Levi to show up in year 1 at the NHL level and kill it. He’s definitely not killing it, but not getting embarrassed too much either. He will mature, understand the nuances to the NHL and the speed will be easier to manage.  I don’t think it will take him 5 years to become really solid.

I think Adams expected Levi to kill it this year. I don't think most knowledgeable fans did. We hoped, didn't expect.

Just a coincidence it happened at the "rainbow" bridge ?  Not to Fox News I'm sure.
it beyond mind blowing that anyone relies on them for their news.
hopefully people that watch will eventually realize that they are reporting news as you want to hear. Not what is actually happening

Worse than fox news, how about politicians or presidential candidates(Vivek), calling it a terrorist attack with no evidence. Don't want any of them near the nuclear button... oops.

Look Terry Pegula is a bad owner because he makes poor decisions for both the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills when it comes to economic growth. The Buffalo Bills will never be up there with value compared to the other NFL teams building your stadium across the street from the stadium location mistake of 50 years ago does that. Terry Pegula has no one to blame but himself for not using his power to force New York State to come up with the money for a downtown Buffalo Bills stadium like Ford Field in Detroit.

As for the Buffalo Sabres Terry Pegula screwed that up tanking and under estimating the damage tanking does to a declining rust belt city market that made very bad economic decisions for 50 plus years. In a NHL that was growing to the Sun Belt and West Coast making the Sabres further down the list of free agents wanting to come to Buffalo. Add the tank the Sabres sucking for over a decade no free agents of any quality wants to play here. The Sabres suck so bad our own Patrick Kane doesn’t want to play here with Kevyn Adams most likely crawling around on his knees to try to convince him to sign with Buffalo. The Sabres franchise is a mess and without the major arena renovations needed the Sabres will be sold out of town at some point. If the renovations don’t happen from New York State.

Some Buffalo fans need to wake up the Buffalo Bisons are potentially moving if they don’t get the New York State renovations. Our Sahlen’s Field infrastructure is old and our area is very behind the times with other baseball parks. Bob Rich JR. regardless of how much money he has has no say on this. If he can’t get the renovations when the Toronto Blue Jays 10 year PDC is up MLB will force Bob Rich to take a buyout of his triple a franchise. Also keep in mind Bob Rich JR. is in his 80’s now so there is that too. When the MLB took over the MILB it forces cities to upgrade their stadiums to keep them current or the Bisons will be moved to a city growing only to happy to take one of only 30 triple a franchises. Buffalo fans might say no way look at Fresno Grizzles they went from triple a to downgraded to single a because MLB said so they weren’t compliant to MLB and the Fresno owner took the triple a buy out. No way would single a baseball work in Buffalo after having triple a baseball. If the Bisons potentially move they are never coming back. Some Buffalo fans needs to wake up we aren’t a big one in Buffalo like Los Angeles or Chicago or New York City. With our poor leadership I could see Oakland potentially in Buffalo sports future because we have some naive people here. There is a reason why some people worship Terry Pegula naive people that heart is in the right place. But unfortunately are too trusting of the poor leadership in power for 50 plus years and counting making poor economic decisions for Buffalo. I like Buffalo, Western New York it’s been my home my whole life but I am old not the future. I am telling it like it is. Buffalo fans have to decide do you want to be Oakland losing three teams in a decade or do we smarten up make better economic decisions and keep up with the stadium and arena times. This isn’t about Terry Pegula he isn’t the future he is a old man older than me.

Key Bank Center is too far gone it needs to be totally replaced or completely gutted like MSG or the Seattle Kraken renovated arena. The whole seating bowl needs to be removed and replaced slopped steeper for better viewing and the 300 level needs to be like the old Buffalo Memorial Auditorium Orange seating. So you can see the rest of the seating sections below so you don’t feel so isolated as a Buffalo fan in the 300 level. You are like alone in the 300’s it’s a bad fan viewing experience especially for college basketball it is awful. The Buffalo Memorial Auditorium was better designed for viewing games no matter what the sport. Local Big 4 college basketball paid the price when it moved to then Marine Midland Arena now Key Bank Center and Buffalo college basketball fans realized the viewing experience wasn’t the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium. Now it’s happening to the Buffalo Sabres the view at home in front of the television is better and cheaper. Same with the Buffalo Bisons $50 stream with MLB television gets you all 150 Buffalo Bisons games home and away. All our Buffalo arena and stadiums need major upgrades or Buffalo potentially risks losing all of our teams. If Buffalo wants to be the bedroom sports community of New York City keep it up believing our stadium and arenas are fine? They aren’t fine they are aging with little done to them for 30 plus years. UB Stadium needs major overhaul and renovations for more than $380 million dollars if we tell it like it is with UB Bulls football our stadium should look like Snapdragon Stadium a top level FBS Group of 5 stadium and UB Football is FBS Group of 5 team in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

A southern tier 19oz can at the arena is $16.50.  It’s infuriating.

12 Oz Molson Canadian in AZ is $14

Miserable is right. And it’s entirely a creation of the miserable product they put on the ice. 19,000+ showed up on opening night just dying for a reason to love this team and come back again. The fans were pumped and provided a great atmosphere right up until this team sucked all the joy out of the building with a crap performance. And they’ve done NOTHING to bring them back since.

    One and done?
