  1. I was sitting in the stall today and heard a couple dudes come in, piss, flush the toilet (oooooh, the handle  ), then leave without washing. First of all, their piss residue is on the door handle, second of all, everyone's piss residue is now on their hands. I wonder if they even realize why they always have colds. Scumbags. I ALWAYS wash, then always use a paper towel to open that door handle. I heard that the mens room door handle is one of the most bacteria laden spots in all the world. Yay. And yeah, the bastards that piss all over the seat don't make my mood any cheerier, either!

    Hmmmmm....piss is not censored. Shocking.

Did you see my earlier post on the previous page?

  2. My complaint for this week: some men are incredibly lazy when it comes to using the washroom. One of my pet peeves are those men who don't wash their hands after taking care of business. Dudes, it's a hygiene issue! (I know that there are some women out there who do the same thing, but I'm digressing).

To cap it off, here is the epitome of laziness. If no urinal is available and you absolutely have to use the commode to do #1, please lift the seat up. There is nothing more disgusting than having to clean off a seat everyone else has to sit on that has yellow/amber spots all over it because you guys didn't want to take the extra second or two to make sure that you aim it in the right spot.

I know that there are some guys who aren't this disgusting, but some definitely are. There's no excuse for this uncleanliness whatsoever!

  3. yet another team is holding the cup over their heads

Yep, and the Sabres FO continues to give us the impression that they don't care enough about winning the Stanley Cup either. (I'm not saying that they really don't care, but they haven't led us to believe otherwise.) Makes for bad "political" theatre.

  4. I live right off a fork in the road in the city. The "neighbors" across the street continually take there little Pug on the grass between the two streets to do it's business and never pick it up. I am thinking the best way to teach them a lesson is to wait till their next family function at the house then I am going to do my business on their lawn during the party. My only questions is where should I eat lunch before? Moe's, Taco Bell or Mighty Taco?

Not to sound crass in encouraging you, but chase it down with some milk or yogurt. That should assist in raising a stink!

  5. I hate when people rush to beat a red light when traffic is backed up even though they know they'll get stuck in the middle of the intersection. I saw two buses do that this week. There's no maneuvering around one of those, everyone is screwed. The only funny part is that the first car s/he blocked off was actually a supervisor from the transit authority. He was able to pull up along side the bus and give that driver one ###### of a lecture.

Now that you mention it, I have something that might as well be right up your alley. Ever go through those work zones on the Interstates where they have signs telling you you're about to lose a lane in so many feet and that you need to get out of that lane? What is extremely annoying is when you have those "looking out for #1" types who careless about the fact that they're holding up traffic on those who are already in the lane they need to be in just so they can get ahead of the rest of the traffic. It's even more annoying when I have to slam on the brakes on 80k #s of equipment just so some jerk like that doesn't find himself 6 feet under and my company winds up getting sued because of his or her stupidity. I've resolved that if anyone tries to cut me off at the last minute like that, I simply refuse to let them in when we're already crawling at a snail's pace through a work zone. They can wait like the rest of us.

I would even venture to guess that there are some of you on this forum who are guilty of this in some way or another (but you're too :bag: to admit it).

  6. Oh, one last thing for spndnchz: congrats on graduation. You said you got several job offers. Hopefully, they keep you in WNY. I can imagine that there are a number of us who wish we were back there instead of living in different parts of the world, far away from home. :(

  7. Man, I don't think so. He is amazing, he really is. He can win a game all by himself, and he does it often. I just don't know why he can't get it together against Boston. I've never seen him play this bad.

Well, speaking of being in the doghouse, I remember when the Celtics practically collapsed at the end of the Larry Bird era. He had quite a supporting cast around him that helped out over the years. But, as they all left or retired one by one, it just wasn't the same, and it seemed like the Celtics were hanging around at or near the bottom of the NBA until a couple of years ago.

Bringing Kevin Garnett out of Minnesota helped out the Celtics, IIRC.

  8. I love the "I've only had 3 bad games in all my years and everyones hatin' " comment from him. Truly Connolly'esque.

:w00t:  What a coincidence! I made the reference to Tim Connolly with regard to LeBron James right before you posted, and then you mentioned what I bolded.

Not a complaint. Just an observation.

  9. +1 on the MBA being the most useful one career-wise. A Master's is also useful (and often necessary) if you are considering teaching as a profession.

And +1 on the congrats as well.

There is plenty of truth in this, but I don't agree that the law degree is worthless if you don't practice law. There are lots of lawyers who have left the practice and are doing other interesting things after using their degrees and/or initial law jobs to get in the door.

Although job prospects are lousy right now for new lawyers, this is usually a cyclical situation and there is no way of knowing what it will be like in 4 years when you graduate.

I will say that if you do go to law school, it's worth busting your butt to get good grades, because the higher the grades, the better the job options you will have.

My 2 cents is for you to take the test -- it doesn't mean you're committing to anything. I would prepare very seriously for the test -- ie live clean for a while beforehand and take a lot of practice tests -- as it is a big driver for law school admissions. You will do fine.

Plus, there are so many different facets to Law itself. Obviously, the most ubiquitous is that of trial lawyers like the ones we see peddling their wares during every televised Sabres game. There's also family law, criminal law, and one that I didn't know existed until I bought my house: real estate law.

  10. Oh I do have a complaint.

WTF is up with LeBron crapping the bed for Cleveland?

I am almost ready to give up being a sports fan altogether. None of my teams ever win anything.

Could it be that he's overrated like Tim Connolly?

  11. Here's my gripe: I go out of the way to have a new, special avatar just for PA, and he doesn't even notice.

And XC, we all know that the real reason you changed yours is because you discovered a new Commandment.

 Nice little tongue in cheek. At least you picked up on my avatar right away. Can't say the same for Lazarus Long aka PASabreFan.

  12. Conundrums. Now graduated from college I find myself between finding a job (although I have offers) and staying in school for my Masters.

I guess it would be nice if you could work for someone who would allow you to take Master's degree classes on the side.

  13. On the lighter side, it never ceases to amaze me at what people will do for fame.

On a more serious note, It just blows my mind how a seminary president would lie about his past in order to make himself sound like a "credible expert". (If any of you know about this, it's about to get really ugly in Central Virginia).

  14. My complaint: Facebook. I am sick and tired of all of the "technical shenanigans" that appear to be taking place there. Besides, given that Mark Zuckerberg appears to be ethically challenged, why should I trust any of my information to someone or a website that might as well be a snitch site? I am currently in the process of gutting my account, looking to keep in touch with friends via email, and deleting it once all of this is done - never to return there.

  15. The great thing about being a comedian who passes himself off as a political commentator is there is no accountability. Facts are fluid things, easily changing shape to fit your argument. I argue for a living, but don't live and breathe politics to the point where I would want to debate him today. Give me three months to prepare and I would welcome the challenge. The difficulty in debating someone like John Stewart is that facts don't matter - he makes ###### up as he goes, but says it very convincingly, so he gets away with it. You either spend the whole debate trying to debunk what he has said (which makes it difficult to win said debate) or you ignore the fact that he just made ###### up out of whole cloth, which also makes it difficult to win said debate. I would love to be able to analyze his so called "facts" after a debate.

BINGO!!! There is a very clear difference between formal debates and informal conversations. If anyone follows formal debates, they would know that there is a certain structure to them in order that each party is given equal time for opening statements, question and answer, rebuttal, and closing statements. I know this from listening to podcasts of one of my favorite theologians (hold the rotten tomatoes, please). This guy does formal debates as part of his ministry. Just coming up to someone on the street and engaging in informal (and sometimes vitriolic) dialogue and rhetoric does not pass for a real debate. I only wish I had understood this between 5-20 years ago.

  16. Shippers and/or consignees who take forever and a day just to get my trailer loaded/unloaded and who don't even bother to pay detention fees to my company for holding up progress. (Anyone out there who's a trucker or who has done it in the past knows what I'm talking about.)

As the old saying goes in the trucking industry, "If the wheels aren't turning, I'm not making any money."
