FWIW, I know Spiller had good offensive production, but Jackson seems like a far better blocker.

Paup was a pretty big signing, but I don't think it generated the buzz this did. Only Kelly (26 years ago) and Bledsoe (10 years ago) generated as much buzz... Neither were free agents, though. This does feel different.

I can't fault the father of the boys. He took care of his kids. It doesn't sound like he's got extra, as it ought to cost a lot more than $1800/month to live in HI. My complaint is sort of a opposite: A good friend at work's ex-wife got caught cheating on him, yet got custody of the early teenage boys, and alimony. She now lives with her boyfriend and the kids, collecting alimony and child support while he, on a >$120k/year salary, can barely make ends meet because he has a condo in the same town that she moved to. And yeah, he'll be alone for Christmas. The moral of the story - never get a divorce in Massachusetts if you are a guy. Edit: Oh, I should have mentioned this - that was a beautiful thing for you to do. My hat is off to you.

Yup, I am with you there... After seeing the start 5-1 a couple years back only to implode, it will be a while before I will know how to feel. I will say this feels like a pretty solid win, though.

There was once a time when I knew every player on that team. I'm not sure I could name 10 anymore. Until Ralph has sold the team and it is certain it stays in Buffalo, I just can't invest the interest that I once had... What a laughingstock he has become.

Thanks for the link, it was an interesting read... I'm 41 now, and would be satisfied with the three we will have. I have figured that the miscarriages were for good reason.

As someone who has known what is like to want children and not have them, I can tell you it is a wonderful thing to be able to complain about the lack of sleeping area. As someone who lost count of the number of miscarriages somewhere around 10, with the most recent one being the twin of this one, a simple congrats would have sufficed.

I feel your pain. I've got a new rugrat on the way in August. I've got nothing. I was going to complain that we had a complaint Thursday thread on a day like today, but I have trouble complaining when I did appreciate a post.
