He would be a nice addition. 3rd pair would end up getting like 12 mins a night. I would just worry about his health. He misses 20-30 games every season.

@Thorny I wanted to see them finish the game like that! Keep their foot on the pedal, and don’t let a crappy Montreal team sneak back into the game.

Samuelsson-Dahlin Power-Lyubushkin Bryson-Jokiharju Jokiharju could already be on the 3rd pair (in a healthy lineup), they just seem to like him a lot. I don’t think they need to add 3 more veteran D. Bryson is fine as a 7-8.

I hear you. For me to F situation is very fluid. It really depends on how how everyone does for the rest of the season. At some point they will need to makes decisions on these guys. Who will sink and who will swim? Who do they want to keep and who do they want to move? There literally will not be enough room for all of the young F’s to fit on the roster.

I agree here. Next offseason, I want them to add another D and Goalie of similar ilk or better than Lyubushkin and Comrie. With the current numbers, it might be hard to add a FA F, but maybe we see some sort of consolidation trade that creates room or brings someone in.

I think you mean that it keeps US (fans) out of the armchair offer sheet market. The real life offer sheet market is essentially non existent.

All the players receive a salary, so in a sense none are ever free. I believe that Liger meant free in terms of acquisition assets. It would not have cost any assets to claim off of waivers.

It doesn’t seem like I’m going to become ill. I just hope no one else in the house gets sick. Try explaining to a 15 month old why Daddy has to stay away, or for that matter, telling Daddy that he can’t hug or kiss his little girl. Unfortunately, I am able to watch. I just tested positive for Covid yesterday afternoon. Multiply people at work tested positive in the past couple days and I started with a little scratchy throat and minor congestion (nothing that is out of the ordinary for early winter). Symptoms haven’t really progressed. Staying home from work is fine, but needing to stay away from my family stinks.

I expected a slightly better showing from Denmark. They created 2-3 good chances that could easily been goals but couldn’t finish.

If SA can draw with one of them, they’ll have a shot to get out of the group. If they lose to both of them, they might still finish bottom.

I bet there is a correlation. There has to be some. If you charted out $ spent on player salaries on the X axis and wins on the Y axis, I bet it looks a little like this…..

The lines and pairs look pretty normal honestly. Generally when you see a guy missing and scrub in his place, it’s just that, a scrub holding his place in practice for the day. Handy thing to keep in mind to avoid future freak outs.
