  1. Nah, your good. Seems like a lot of work for no real gain. I was just putting it out there.
  2. Rumors pre draft were that Sanderson, Rossi, and Quinn were targets. So this news on Sanderson is no surprise, more confirmation.
  3. I’m not surprised he is back, although I didn’t think he would be. I think Krueger likes him. He sure played him a lot in an important role, and Z did well in that role. Air fryers are alright. I guess it depends on your expectations for them. It’s not deep fried, that’s for sure.
  4. Part time C, 4 years ago. Yeah, he was playing a fair amount of both C before Housley. That was 4 years ago though.
  5. I honestly feel like I have no clue what is going to happen tomorrow. Reinhart or Montour could get traded, or signed. Kahun could walk, or sign, Sabres could sign a top 6 W, goalie and vet D, or they could totally cheap out. Im just going to let the wave wash over me.
  6. https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=69 Veteran presence
  7. Possible I suppose, he has been primarily a W for many years though.
  8. Yeah, and there are reasons to think that Quinn could fulfill that better trajectory and surpass Rossi. Time will tell.
  9. If Reinhart got only a 38% raise, that would be incredibly cheap. He is going to get much more than that. He could get pinched. We don’t know what will happen.
  10. Yes, I thought these were exactly the type of players who were going to SQUEEZED financially this year. He made 1.6 last season and had a good year, so I’m not surprised he got a raise, but that’s a pretty big raise, 38%.
  11. Close the thread. They just locked up Girgensons.
  12. 3 years, $2.2M seems like too much, especially in COVID times. No issue with Girgensons as a solid bottom 6 guy in an energy/shutdown role.
  13. Regarding the bolded part: the guy that most wanted at #8 is Marco Rossi, who is without a doubt a hard working, great 2 way, grinding, gritty, sometimes dirty player, in addition to being very skilled.
  14. Hmm, 3 years is fine, $2M seems like a little much though. Was hoping for a little less, especially in COVID times. Just a note: If I recall correctly, Zemgus’ girlfriend is from the area. Could play a big part in him wanting to stick around. Edit: His now wife is from Pittsburgh. Also, I somehow just found their wedding registry. Their kitchen color scheme is definitely stainless steel and white, but they got a black air fryer, bad move there. Strange world.
  15. Ok. That’s fine. Better be no more than 3 years and under $1.75M though.
  16. It’s a day when hockey players are able to throw off the shackles of indentured servitude and pursue employment any place of their choosing. Truly a celebration of hockey players’ progress towards social equality and also a reminder of the work still to be done to achieve full employment rights for ice hockey players.
  17. Or maybe it says that they plan on acquiring another C? That could be another perspective. People on the board may be penciling him into the top-6 because right now there isn’t anyone else on the roster. There is a player acquisition period starting tomorrow, let’s see how that goes.
  18. Is this Josh Anderson, RW that they just acquired from Columbus for Domi? Seems like a lot for him.
  19. What’s everyone’s thought of Adams comment that Quinn has some “center tendencies” and that he wouldn’t be surprised if Quinn played some C next season? I thought it was interesting, but could this actually happen?
  20. I’m down for it. Sign Toffoli?, lock up Tage, start Cozens at RW, draft Quinn. I get a niggling feeling that Reinhart could be traded. I only half believe it, but I can’t get it out of the back of my mind.
  21. I wish they had more picks. They took two legit wing prospects and 3 lottery tickets in the 5th/7th. I wish that they could have traded down 2-5 spots and taken Quinn. Risky though, it seems like some teams definitely had him ranked in the 5-10 range. I would have taken Rossi at 8. Not a big fan of Perfetti, especially for a team lacking an identity/heart. Quinn was a reasonable pick though, and I said so even before the draft. Especially after learning more about his background and potentially above average future development. I didn’t love the move up for JJP, but I like JJP ok.
  22. Yup, totally agree. Hockey skills also very important for hockey players.
  23. For an AHL 3rd goalie maybe?
  24. I love Rossi and would definitely have drafted him at 8. I had him as the 3rd best prospect in this class. Even I think your percentages are crazy off.
  25. Absolutely. You aren’t drafting only hockey skills. You are drafting a coworker. The person matters.
