My ideal realistic lines are something like: Hall-Eichel-Olofsson, 17 ES mins, neutral usage, 1st scoring line Skinner-Staal-Reinhart, 17 ES mins, neutral usage, 2nd scoring line Reider/Lazar-Eakin-Okposo, 11 ES mins, slight defensive usage, responsible bottom 6 line 3 of (Cozens, Thompson, Mittelstadt, Routsalainen, maybe with a guy like Reider/Lazar/Okposo mixed in), 11 ES mins, slight sheltered usage, young offensive bottom 6 line

That may be possible, to create 3 real scoring lines, but that’s not what’s been happening. Looks like they are going to stack the top 2 lines instead, and just kind of figure out the bottom 2. So I expect to see the top 6 get heavy mins, and the bottom 6 get significantly less. Probably with lines 1/2 and 3/4 getting similar ice time to each other.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency

It wasn’t actually a coup, or coup attempt. They had no plan or avenue to actually keep Trump in office. They just broke in to yell, wave flags around, and take selfies as far as I can tell. Agree with the bolded though. -
I don’t get this hard distinction you are trying draw between a 3rd and 4th line. Ralph has not deployed his players like that. It seems like the two bottom 6 lines will get similar ice time this season. Last season the top line got heavy mins, and the other 3 lines got almost the same ice time for most of the season. This season, it looks like the top 2 lines will get a lot of mind, and the bottom 2 lines will get less, but similar mins.

The person who was shot, I don’t believe was by law enforcement. Yeah, I get what you are saying, and I know it’s an extreme case by case basis, and also I wasn’t there. The answer is probably as simple as they didn’t want a gunfight with a bunch of government elected officials right there. -
It would be great if some combination of Cozens, Thompson, Olofsson, Mittelstadt, Routsalainen were able to form a competent bottom 6 scoring line. It wouldn’t necessarily need to get more mins than the other bottom 6 line. The mins difference between the top two and bottom two lines will likely be large. It would be really beneficial if the Sabres were able to ice 3 competent scoring lines.

What protesters? This is a breaking and entering, trespassing, and riot. -

I feel crazy for saying so, but why hasn’t SS just started shooting? This is an embarrassment and it feels like the end of something important. -
That wasn’t my reading. Honestly, I read that and didn’t take anything in particular away from it.

I’ll just add because it’s interesting, French-Canadien American here. My family is from extreme upstate NY, literally right on the Canadian border. Most people there have French Canadian ancestry. My grandfather spoke only French in the home as a child. My sister took a DNA test and it came back about 95 percent French-Canadian, which is kinda boring, but it was interesting because it was able to go into specifics about what area of France our ancestors immigrated from, where they immigrated to, when they likely immigrated. French Canadian is different from French as a language, a culture, and genetic makeup. Most of the immigrants were from north-western France. Few from the south or east. The passage of time has formed the Quebec culture into its own separate thing. I wouldn’t call it an ethnicity, but I would say the cultures of Quebec and France are different.
-
I don’t think it’s an ethnicity at all. It’s a culture probably. A language definitely. The classic French Canadian person has ancestry of immigrants from northern/western France.

What would reply to someone who points out all of the other important games where Cozens has performed well? Framing this game as the first real challenge that Cozens has faced is laughable. Perhaps you are putting way too much emphasis on one game? I think those would be relevant things to consider.
-
Lol. It was kind of a joke. I was making it out like that small grammar error was the most relevant thing in his post. Because the idea that Cozens had one kinda bad game in an otherwise dominate tournament, after a dominant WHL season, after a really good WJC tournament last season where he was really good in the gold metal game, that means he definitely isn’t ready for the NHL. It’s absolutely absurd.
-
You used the wrong too in the second sentence. And Cozens is ready to play in the NHL.
-
Don’t understand it, but I’m glad I saw it. 10/10 would watch again
-
You mean to say that it’s bland? Never been, but that’s not the impression that I’ve always gotten.
-
I give him credit for good and smart things he did. Kahun trade, Cozens pick, UPL pick, Skinner trade, Jokiharju trade, ect. I mean, you can say that drafting Dahlin was good, and I agree, but it’s something that anyone would have done. I don’t count it as a win for Botterill. It’s just a neutral.
-
He doesn’t really. They sucked in a season where they should not have been league worst, won the lottery and picked the consensus #1 prospect. Nothing about that reflects positively on Botterill.

What are the 4 most “hockey” potential corporate sponsors to name divisions after?
-
Heard the names before? Sure. Care about them at all? No. If they reinstitute names like those, I would want different names.
-
No doubt. Just saying that this in particular, does not bother me.
-
I’m actually fine with this. A lot better than putting ads on the players.

He was 17. Born Jan 26, 1961. WJC in Dec 1978. EDIT: I’m wrong. 1978 WJC was in late 1977-early 1978. This is the 2021 WJC. The graphic is wrong. It says 2020 for Cozens this WJC.

Hodgson was a good player. I think he would have been very good if not for his health problems, which were out of his control. He had three 19+ goal, 40+ point seasons by age 23, and his career was over by age 25.
-
That’s a list of good hockey players! If Cozens can be the type of player who fits in among the rest on that list, I’ll be very pleased.
