He isn’t turning 30 until November 14, 2021, so he FA contract will be buying ages 30+. Your point still stands though. I would be scared of 6+ years. All depends on the salary though.

Yeah, I just wanted to point it out that the per game ES numbers were not far off between those players. I don’t really have a good feel for how the bottom 6 will be used this coming season. Would TT-Eakin-Okposo really even be used as a defensive checking line? I don’t know. All I can say thus far is that the effectiveness of the bottom 6 will in large part depend upon how good the young guys are. Eakin, Okposo, Reider, Sheahan are not going to do anything good if they are the best players in the bottom 6. It’s going to be up to Cozens, Thompson, Mitts, Routsalainen, even Lazar to make the bottom 6 good.

Look at the per game ES numbers. Okposo and Eakin were pretty close with Skinner, Johansson, Vesey. It’s not the drop off that you are portraying.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency
Curt replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
Just to weigh in. I agree with you that this individual event on Wednesday really had no path to a productive result. However, it was one more unprecedented event in a string of progressively escalating events. That is extremely concerning, and dangerous. It’s not an event in a vacuum. And it was even worse than I originally thought. I was not originally aware the few who had plans to take hostages or those who planted bombs. I believe that the capital police should have done more. Really I feel that they should have opened fire, and know that I don’t say that flippantly. The lax attitude of the police in this case is very concerning on multiple levels. -
I hope so.

One is probably more likely than the other. Good luck though!

I know, that’s why I added my edit addendum. Didn’t come in time to beat your trigger finger though. I wasn’t coming after you either. Just sharing. -
Truth, but.......... How about if he plays 13 mins a night with Lazar and Cozens, with some PP time, and occasional top-6 mins as a fill in? Thats possible.

The thing is, that I 1) Did not believe a word Trump said, about anything And also 2) Felt the need to wait and see what happens, because these are batshit crazy times right now. Trump would steal the office if he could find a way. I wasn’t 100% sure that he wouldn’t find a way. Edit: not confronting you here, just explaining how I felt/feel. -

Yeah, I know it was all made up. However, there was the possibility that an injustice of some kind would occur or that some actual evidence of fraud would be brought forward, or something crazy like a coup or something, improbable as that might have been. Basically, it’s not over until it’s actually over. -
Seems like they are not having one. I don’t mind the ones that are just a logo so much. I hate the company name in big lettering on some. That Ford logo looks terrible on a helmet.

This is a weak argument. Could say this about any player. Jack, Sam, ROR, Risto....the fact that the team has been bad, does not mean he is not a useful player. But you are probably right though if you phrase it like this. I also doubt that the Sabres miss him badly. They are likely to miss him a little bit though. It weakens a bottom 6 which is already not that strong.
-
Maybe someone told him something, but it wasn’t 100% certain, and he didn’t want to be spreading false info around about something sensitive. Something about free speech having consequences or something.
-
But the top 6 looks saahweet! EDIT: honestly though, it’s going to depend on the development of the young guys. If a couple of Thompson, Routsalainen, Mitts, Cozens (and even Lazar could have some upside) can do well in a limited, bottom 6 scoring line role, that will help tremendously.

Ok, sure, but there is a big difference between telling a bunch of people that there is election fraud, even though you have no proof of it, and saying that we will need to see how the allegations of fraud and lawsuits play out before we know what will happen with the election. -

Who are you talking about? Trump or the people on this forum? It’s like there is no distinction with you right now. Please try to make one. There is a process to certify elections. I couldn’t be completely sure what would happen until all the challenge lawsuits were complete and the results were certified. Part of that is because I know that Trump would pull any unethical stunt he could possibly get away with to remain in office. It doesn’t mean that I liked it, but that was the reality of the situation. -

I agree with most of what you wrote, and commend you for expressing yourself better than I can. However, this part I don’t agree with. I don’t believe that troubles stem from people not being politically engaged enough. People are more politically engaged than ever before. We might actually be better off if people were less politically engaged, as strange as that sounds. You don’t think pure escapist entertainment or celebrities existed 50 years ago, or exist in other countries today? I believe that our troubles stem from a lack of social intelligence. We don’t understand each other and we don’t want to try. We just want to be in our own little echo chambers where we only interact with and hear things from people who we agree with. Why the heck would we want to hear from someone who thinks differently than us?! Or someone who is from somewhere else?! Or someone with a different skin color?! Or someone who has a different idea of what America should be?! Its enabled by social media and media that we can tailor to hear only exactly what we want to. At least that’s my view. -
I have to echo @freester here. Risto is actually good on the PP, at the point. It’s what he is best at. He should be on the 2nd PP unit. Montour I don’t think is even good in the offensive zone. Miller is ok, though I haven’t seen him on the PP much.

Coachable team player.

And sometimes they make you really miss the guy who is out.

YES! Just kidding. Do you think he should get a few NHL games to see?
