To you it makes sense to give two games off against Washington on Friday and Sunday, but doesn’t make sense to give him just the Sunday game off? Why do you think he needs two games off instead of one?

Why two games instead of one? I’m going to assume that it was scheduled ahead of time. Ralph has already said that they would be rotating in/out some guys in the bottom 6 for rest, didn’t he? I don’t know why they would just sit random players unless it was planned. It doesn’t look like a benching for poor play.

I guess I just can’t find the right words to engage with you. (one, complain). *shrug* I didn’t say that the idea of Cozens getting on a role was illogical or anything. It’s a viewpoint that I can understand. I just wanted to present my viewpoint that if they had a plan laid out that they thought was best for him, they should stick to that instead of changing it because he scored a goal. And, if I’m understanding you correctly, by saying that you would still have an issue with Cozens having today off even if he hadn’t scored a goal, you are saying that you disagree with the idea of giving him the day off on principle, and it’s not really about the fact he scored last game. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Sorry. Maybe this is more to your liking? If they set out a plan for Cozens that they feel is best for him, should they change it because he has been doing pretty well and scored a goal? Did that one goal change things? Seems to me that if you would be ok with this if he hadn’t scored a goal, that you should be ok with it now even though he did. If he hadn’t scored a goal, would you be complaining about this @Thorny?

I don’t think that this tweet is over the top suggestive. It doesn’t say anything definitive. It says what it says.

If this is true, then it’s something that he needs to work through. If he is going to be a great player, he needs to be able to play a strong game in his own zone. You can’t blame Krueger for Dahlin’s execution mistakes.

Lol, ok. He had rough patches his first year too. You are right, in comparison to Mitts, there is no comparison. Something is up with Dahlin, but I’m sure he’ll come around.

The point of this particular tweet? To inform people that the Sabres are not only in search of a goalie, but that they progressed to a negotiation type phase. That’s it. So basically are you are upset that he is a tease, or do you think he is full of BS and fabricating things?

That’s clearly not what he said though. You are just misrepresent it now. Can we discuss this honestly? He said (many times) that they are trying to get a goalie, and now that they are into the negotiating phase on some goalie out west but nothing is imminent and we’ll see what happens. Maybe Chad will find out the same time that we do. Maybe he will find out a little before hand, he has a couple times in the past. Why are you getting bent out of shape that someone is sharing what he knows on Twitter?

When was this full season of good performance from Dahlin? Last season? He had something like an entire month+ last season where he had miscues all over the place and people here were ripping him to shreds. By the end of the season he was playing really well.

You think that they might NEVER open areas to 100% capacity?! I feel confident that this will happen by around Thanksgiving.

They are the same age. They were drafted 2nd/3rd in the same draft.

No thanks. Keep the 18 year olds in. They don’t need to be kept out just to protect NHL teams from themselves. Keep the draft this summer, suck it up this year. Have the draft camp or whatever you need to get a look at the guys.

Maybe just stop reading his tweets if you don’t like them. Or if you can’t help yourself from reading more into it than what he actually wrote. The tweet said they had made some progress, nothing is imminent, we’ll see what happens. Then when he follows it up with “whoa, slow down everyone, this thing isn’t done and it’s probably more likely to not happen than get done.” Then you get mad.

Oh that’s right! Forgot that Bales had Fleury before. Fleury isn’t awesome, but his solid. An actual useable NHL goalie.

Laine is of course great at scoring goals, but he seems like an awful fit for Columbus/Torts. Maybe Columbus is hanging the fact out there that teams need to beat that offer of Laine+ while secretly not really wanting Laine.
